What did you do to your Mopar today?

Well, after what Force Fed did, this post will seem pretty lame, but I replaced the front bumper on my 69 Coronet 4 door. Getting started

Put in the final torque converter bolt to replace the one I rounded last weekend (guess what you can't buy over the counter around here), locktited and torqued them.

Broke an exhaust stud (guess what else you can't buy over the counter around here), found a bolt that looked exactly like the others but was long enough to accept the conical washer, tightened that up and also the flange.

Cleaned trans inspection covers and reinstalled.

If you're in the market for torque converter bolts, do your homework.
I got genuine Mopar Performance parts for $6.50 and free shipping.
Prices are all over the place from $4 for generic (with washers?) to over $25 plus shipping for "name brand".

Parked my Charger in its new home.... temporarily. A lot more work to do before it's a permanent resident but the garage looks better with it in there. Of coarse doing so meant firing it up which always puts a smile on my face.

Removed license plate mount and shortened each side 1 1/2

I didn't do a damn thing to it. Don't need to.

Post up guys![/QUOTE]

Fired my beast up & drove it around the neighborhood,
the kids all love it, the typical thumbs up from everyone...

Took the wagon up to my fab guy, to start the gen-2 to gen-3 hemi conversion. On the way, the damned thing started dumping smoke and oil outta the exhaust, and slowly lost oil pressure. Seems to be some serious bearing problems....but don't understand the smoke and raw oil. It never got over 180, either. [The owner isn't really a car guy, and I have no idea how he drove it, but think that's the issue] Oh well. Nothing let go...and it's gonna become a fire-breather with huge changes, for the 66 Belvedere. I'll probably only be using the block and heads, anyways.

That is one badass looking wagon!!! I think we had one when I was a kid. Back then I thought it looked like a spaceship!

I liked it better, the first time I built it. This will be the 3rd time. [dear God]

I keep having brake related issues on my step side truck.

I hate to keep putting money into this as it's basically a run stand for the 440 that's in it, and a parts truck after I remove it. cab is rotten beyond repair.

First it was a locked up caliper, then worn out rear drums, then a bad M/C.

The M/C is bad again and I'm trying all the ones I have laying on the shelf.

Taking off the lines, the one for the front twisted off behind the fitting.

I was able to straighten it out and put a new double flare on it (that was FUN with the other end of the line still attached) but it split when I put it back together.

Now I either have to remove the line at the dist valve, which is inside the frame rail with the starter in very close proximity, or make a 90* line with a fitting on both ends and install an inverted flare coupling.

Guess what you actually CAN buy over the counter around here?

Thank you Ace hardware.

It was the last one in the correct size and in the wrong bin.

Ain't that the way it usually goes???? Hey, at least you found what you needed!

Aren't you the one that also has the sweet silver 67 Coronet? Love that wagon too, you've got both of my bucket list Mopars... lucky dog!

Got the GTX aligned AND ran out of gas on the test drive.
