What did you do to your Mopar today?

I was all excited that my custom 15x8 Cragars with 5" of backspace came and today I got the 275/60-15 Cooper Cobras mounted so I could throw them on get some meat under my '67...then I saw GITEX and his 390/40-15 :wtf:

Hahaha...I'm still super pumped though, I love the way the look. I have the 275/60-15's in back and 215/70-15 on 15x6's up front. Exactly the look I wanted. (Please ignore the 4x4 stance up front, I'll be bringing that down a touch in the near future)

Love the stance on your car. Thats the way a 67 should look , instead of low in the front like a hound dog sniff'in cow pies ! ...........MO

Parts Running today....
Drove to Pontiac to meet my builder[he's in Lansing] for lunch. Exchanged parts, and dropped off my hemi-heads and some Buick stuff to Modern Cylinder Head. Lots of driving, but an awesome Mexican lunch.
Gonna get started on the next hemi build. Very slowly

I spoke to 440Souce about returning their oil pan (see my previous posts). They said they never get those back but I could ship it back at my own expense and they would take a look at it. So, I checked shipping and it would be half what I paid for the pan. No deal. So, I took it by the local machine shop to verify the flanges were bent; they are. I told the guy my story and he said they will straighten out some when you torque it down. But, he recommended I use Permatex Ultra Gray sealant on both sides of the gasket. So, I painted the pan today and will install tomorrow.

Kind of a **** answer from 440 Source...they could have at least offered to crossship you another one.

With the possibility of a giant mess from a pan with bent flange I probably wouldn't risk it.

I think I'll bolt the pan on without a gasket and torque it from the middle outwards then check for daylight in the middle where it's bent to see how much it straightens out, if any.

Picked up the SRT seats from my buddy's gun store/range[went and had lunch in the ghetto too], hauled them to Motofab, where the install will take place in the wagon. Dropped more exhaust stuff off at the coaters for ceramic, while I was up there. Gotta help out your buddies. So about another 200 miles today.

Crooked exhaust tips drive me nuts, the drivers side plagued me last time I had them on the car. I ended up cutting the pipe and re-clocking the whole thing. Got it tacked and fitted on the car. Was gonna buzz it quick with the mig but probably practice my tig welding when I have some free time.

installed a nice set high back bucket seats I picked up at the Big 3 auto swap meet a couple weeks ago in my 68' RR and took it for a test drive, what a difference! Saved about 18 lbs in weight on top of the added comfort.

Put the other buckets in my 69' RR project car and ditched the fixed mount seats. Also got a great deal on a full set of used black steel wheels fitted with 27.0 X 8.0" stock car slicks for $80, so my son and I installed those on the 69' to see how they looked, what do you think?

Pulled the front end outta the wagon. Gonna be selling the stuff. Had to remove all my fabricated Vintage-Air ,A/C stuff as well. All new, current A/C parts will be installed from the cowl forward.

Unpacked more boxes from moving trips...finding parts and NOS parts for my Charger, as well as NOS 340 connecting rods...for yet another unfulfilled dream...lol.

Found my starter for the 383 too. I forgot how heavy!!!

Fuel tank is ready for tig-weld and coating. Exhaust is ready for coating. Single header tube that had to be replaced is ready also. Wagon is coming along nicely.
