finally get to say this;Took It For A Drive Today. things are getting looser and feeling better. the tko tranny is shifting easier with each drive. the whole car is working good. found a couple of minor issues but nothing big, mostly wireing stuff.:headbang:
Adjusted the choke on the Edelbrock 650 Thunder series (AVS) on my Bee. The secondaries weren't opening so I assumed the choke wasn't opening as it should. They open now!. Man, this carb works so much better than the 750 that I was running (Eddy Performer). Took it out for short a test ride and kept going and going and going...kinda like the Energizer bunny. I did finally come home but it sure was fun.
So I pulled the gas tank off to get it cleaned and bought some new rims and tires off of ebay and it think they look good but dont have the white letters. Also buffed out the paint all except the drivers side the other day. Looking better and getting close to putting the windows back in. So this is a before and after pic. :headbang:
Thanks and it has been a long time since it has looked this good. Can't wait to have to buy new tires after have fun with the car. Hope there will not be too many tickets......................
It broke my heart, but I went out to the garage and told it that my wife just does'nt understand our "special relationship" and that it would have to wait a little longer for that new 408 stroker motor
More like "What Am I Doing To My Mopar Today". Removing the carb/intake/blahblah to do the cam and lifter change. Hope to have the old cam and lifters out today;start on the install tomorrow. Great weather to work in;high 40's and minimal wind. Better day to be out driving, but work must be done.
Removed About 2 pounds of bondo from my 69 road runners rear LH quarter. You American's sure seem to love covering up poor repairs with lot of bondo. The repairs covered by the bondo were attached by what appears to be rivets. Now to start fabricating a replace section that will not require any bondo and to weld it in. Photos will follow
