What did you do to your Mopar today?

No instructions came with either of the 2 WRONG pressure plates I have got from Summit. Another weekend pissed away, my car still on my buddy's lift...
I'm calling Brewer's on Monday since I bought my billet steel flywheel from them and find out what the correct pp is. I may go with a Centerforce after all.
I have never had an over center spring on it although it had a 3 finger Borg and Beck style pp in it when I installed the McLeod.
My left knee gives me some pain anyway, I think a diaphragm style pp will fix that.
How many teeth on your flywheel? 130 and it's 10.5 or 10.95 and 143 is 11 inch.
I've been using centerforce for 20 years or so and would never go back to a three finger type.

Big blue got new breaks ... calipers .... pads .. lines ... hoses .... wheel cly's .... shoes. Thunk it better to do it all rather than one busted line at a time.

Temps where near 60, and we had a few days of rain to wash the salt off the roads. when for a cruise figure I would give her a bath.

Put my new license plate on lol, pulled the old master cylinder so I can install the new wilwood unit and new lines.

1968 Satellite Roadrunner tribute new project. Received the Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers today with stainless steele band clamps from Summit. Have on order: Black vinyl roof and 8 pcs side window fuzzies from Classic Industries -- quarter window regulator rollers and hardware kit from 521 Restorations --PUI front bucket seats upholstery and new foam buns from Tamraz -- molded carpeting with mass backing from Stock Interiors -- Cragar Keystone Klassic wheels from Summit which should be delivered tomorrow. I just love to unpack all these kinds of goodies !!..................MO

On Brutus the 64 Dodge: the ignition key as been very hard to insert the key, and the door locks would not work with the key altho it did when I installed them. I have been dreading taking out the ign. switch and taking the door panels off to remove the door locks. So I finally bit the bullet today. Got out the points file and smoothed some burs off the new keys for the ign. switch---fixed it ! Remembered that the new chrome inside door lock buttons were very long when I put them on. Backed them off the threaded rod quite a ways-----fixed it ! Evidently they were so long they bound up the lock mechanism. Still stiff turning with the key, used lock spray and cleaned out graphite the locksmith must have used when he keyed them like my ign. key ---fixed it ! Good day ! I don't have to take that all apart and go to the locksmit. YES!........................MO

Paid for some parts, watched money disappear from my bank account for other parts, and chased down the local Courier van for a 'MoPar' carb for my buddy MowPar - a 2BBL Carter lookalike. Hope to help him fit that up to his 225/6 Valiant soon.

For all those :xscuseless:

Powdered graphite is the best lube for locks that I know of. Not powder graphite with oil, oil just attracts dirt. There are other dry lube sprays, but I'm familiar with them.

...and don't mix graphite and WD-40.

It makes a sticky paste and gums up the lock.

Stay with one or the other but graphite lasts longer, and is what lock smiths use.

Looks like you'll need a translator for the instructions!

Is MowPar the friend that you posted a video on once? Cool car!

"Lock-ease" IIRC is a brand of spray graphite.

Yes, MowPar is a member here and owns that nice little blue Valiant - posted with the 'odd' steering wheel position. :D Video again so you don't have to search for it;

Almost every time I look a right drive car, a guy knew had a XK 120 right drive. He gets stopped by the cops. His buddy with girl friend in his lap in left seat. Cop comes up to the buddy and girl friend says license and registration the answer "I ain't driving". Then the loked in and cracked up, look at the driver and said becareful and get out of here.

Sat her up on jackstands and removed the battery until mid-March. She is a nice weather car.

Took mine for a ride today, it's sunny and almost 50 degrees, roads a pretty clean and I had some fun!

The stainless that goes across the base of windshield was deeply scratched from decades of the wipers running over it. I sanded it with 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, and 1600, then gave it a working over with rags and Flitz polish. I stopped at 1600 as I didn't have anything finer on hand and, since it'll mostly be hidden behind the hood, 1600 was good enough. The deep scratches almost completely came out.

I get the same thing here sometimes when I'm pulled over by the fuzz. :)
