What did you do to your Mopar today?

Also have the convertible top pieces all ready for dipping and e-coating, powder-coating, etc. I had to retrieve my friend's tools from his estate sale. I don't need them, but everybody was low-balling the family so bad...I bought them so the sharks didn't get them. Now they're taking up room, till I rid the shop of un-needed stuff. I'm kind of in a holding-pattern, till the new year. I can clean and detail parts for the top, and do some other tedious tuff for a couple days.

That's never an easy choice. I like so many colors....but believe certain cars lend themselves to different hues. I believe the 67's look best with a color that shades and high-lights all the complex lines and curves of the car [lighter color/lots of metallic]. Reflection of light is great on those cars, and look like many different shades of the same color.

The rear of my car has been getting squeaky...I was sure it was the shackle and/or front eye bushings. It was neither! The leaf springs themselves were the culprits so I sprayed some ptfe dry-lube stuff along the sides and in anywhere I could, wiped them down, and.....success! Nice and quiet again.

Started on rebuilding the 76' 727 today that will be bolted behind the 440 if I ever get around to doing it. So far I'm not set on what really to do with it as far as updating internals. The trans turned out not to be all beat up, just some clutch debris in the pan. I ran out of time to take the clutch pack apart, clean and install the new ones. I'm going to put a shift kit in it, just not sure which "Transgo" kit to buy. Need to get on the web page may be a better description on there. The one-off eBay was lacking in information.

Replaced a missing finish piece left off at the factory and missed during PDI (if they even perfomed one) by the selling dealer on our 2018 Charger. It was worth buying it online and doing it myself to save the 100-mile round trip to the dealer to get it taken care of for free.

FYI, I had to take one part to a machinist to have it re-sized. Per the Transgo kit instructions you are supposed to grind it but seems impossible to do by hand for a perfectly round diameter.

The TF-2 kit has two options: 1) Street\strip and 2) full race. We went with street. Nice firm shifts but not overly harsh.
 
I stated the coronet today after sitting more than a year. a battery and 1 pump of the gas, It started first crank. That's a nice feeling. Merry Christmas
 
Walked more parts out to the shop. Next week, back to work. Everybody is closed till next Wed.
 
What I did for my Mopar...

In the process of moving my shop across the compound from 5 12x20 units to 4 20x22 units.

Took down my 125' of #10 solid in flex conduit and moved my hundred something pound compressor across the grass and sugar sand...

The day before one front tire started leaking at the rim.
Rim is shot with deep pitted rust.

So...

Moved 60A electrical sub-panel from outside the building to inside as all 4 units had ONE 20A circuit for all lights and all receps combined!

...and it's a 222 foot walk, one way- to reset a breaker.

60A panel had a 25' run of #6 AL (ew) and it was going to be hundreds of dollars to extend to the middle of the new shop, so I cheap'd out and cut 1 foot off the externally mounted 1" EMT, bought an LB and a weather tight connector, and moved the existing sub panel inside.

Today I used my new HF knockout set and punched a 1" and two 1/2 inch holes for the 30A comp and two 20A recep circuits, and wired the comp temporarily using some #10 dryer cord I had.

All this so I can sand blast a 5.5x14 rallye wheel I had in my stash, and run my tire changer.

The tire changer did run off my wife's Devilbiss 2.5 CFM compressor, but not 100%

All I wanted to do was stop my tire from going down every few days.
 
YESTERDAY: Finally gave it the 'winter tune'. The piss from the pump is so bad my car started pinging. So I re-timed it & was changing rods/springs in car which involved finding my magnet & getting THIS

out of the carb...
Idling nicely (in neutral) at 750rpm w/17" vacuum & NO pinging under any conditions now so I topped off the fuel tank on way home from 'testing' the tune.

I had 18" of vacuum idling, but had to back off a tad for WOT.
Then I vacuumed & dusted & cleaned inside of windows.

TODAY is wash, dry & say 'Good-bye' then head off to I don't know where yet...
 
Yesterday.......Just gathering pieces and parts in the basement. Washing dash parts that have been stored for 20 years, and arranging sub-assembly projects. I also had a friend come over and buy my entire die-cast collection. 400+ pieces. Glad to see them go, and frees up room and a bit of cash. Good day, over-all.
