What did you do to your Mopar today?

Well not a lot of time today so i swung by the shop to get my drive shaft (well pieces anyway). I thought i could sneek back in the lower shop tonight and "assemble" it. And i cant visit the 70 and not fire it up. I know thru straight headers it can be misleadsing but this thing sounds good. I got to get busy so i can drive it.

Went to the junkyard and pulled A-pillar covers, kick panels, headliner trim, rear window trim, sun visors, and some small trim parts for my Roadrunner.

Body work on my 68 Charger project. I'm at one of those points trying to get the body line on the quarter to line up with the body line on the door. Three tries before I was satisfied, not happy, just satisfied. If I was building a trailer queen I'd still be down in the shop doing this :fit:

Putting everything back together after the cam/lifter change. The TRW cam I'm using advertised 112 degree CL;checked out at such. Sweet. It's almost 50 degrees here in mid-MI,so a good day to work on the car. I ain't freezin' my wanker off! Hell, even the compressor started up without me having to heat it up with a space heater. Usually blows a breaker while trying to fire up in cold weather.

I could be drivin' soon!!!

Got my new dash cap today, went out and set it in place and fits like a glove, Ill soon get all cleaned up and it on... Taking cluster apart, ordering the LED lights very soon and get them in with the new gauges ive been working on....

Took the steering wheel and tach off, dropped the steering coll-um and started taking out the rally setup, I did take one bulb out to check the numbers which are T 57 and under that 9... I thought they were supposed to be 194, maybe these are replacement bulbs someone put in.. Im told for the main gauges i need 7 bulbs but ordering 8-10 just in case.

Got my window trim clips in, so hopefully will get the front and rear trim on today. Also hope to get the steering wheel back on.

water pump

Got the mechanical water pump and new Moroso water pump drive all hooked up and tested.

Oil change, tire rotation and plug change - on my 08' 5.7L Charger. First plug change at 44,000 miles. Other than there being 16 of them it was probably one of the easiest plug chages I've done...
Said hello to my 62' while I was in the garage. New rockers are due in Monday so maybe we'll have it back running in a couple of weeks..

EL Lighting

Replaced the condenser in my Power Pack and got the EL working for the first time since I have owned my Charger. The best $2 I have spent on the car and that EL sure looks great! :hello2:

Cue the "Star Wars" music...

Looks cool;I like it when other folks conquer electrical issues. Gives me hope that I,one day,can fully comprehend electrical ****. Thank God for the electric-and eclectic-gurus on this site!

Worked on my dash today, 11 degrees out and lots of snow, good day to be in. Ordering new dash lights Monday, and did some buffing on some window trim to be put on... pushed snow getting door open then quit for the day.. good day!

70. Sunny. My pal John removed the windshield trim in pre for a new one. I want to make sure to get through tech inspections. I've been putting it off due to a leak that I thought would cause rus. Lookin good now. Willow Springs and Reno.

Finally got the ignition hooked up and all the accessories installed on the HEMI Charger. I dumped some gas in the carbs and it fired right up!

Just came back in from the garage...

Cleaning up details for another Silver State Classic run in May. Removing the wires from the electric w/p and fans that have been replaced with mechanical. Removing the last of the nitrous system I won't be using any more. I have every intention of hitting the track day at Willow Springs the month before so I can wring the car out for a while. I'm still fighting a brake bias issue and I need to address the front aero and get some air out from under the front of the car. I also need to machine a plate for a valley cover.

Almost done remodeling the bathroom. THANK GOD!!!! I need some quality time with the car. Wonder how long this probation will last?

Installed the upper window weatherstrips and trim. Also headliner front windshield trim. Working on rest of headliner attachments, Visors , coat hooks, belt snaps , etc.

well....i put on the wheel well mouldings i got from Dales Cuda Shop. surprisingly nice fit...the backs were damn near perfect and the fronts were absolutely flawless. you have to look reaaaaaaaaaaallllly close at the backs to see that they dont fit as good as the front but you would never know just lookin at them.WHAT A DIFFERENCE THEY MADE !!

Finally got my custom floor mats from Legendary Auto Interiors... they look stellar. Time to pop 'em in the Charger and go for a ride! :3gears:
