What did you do to your Mopar today?

Purged last years gas out of 65 Dodges fuel lines. Reconnected fuel lines to carbs. Turned on fuel pump to fill carbs and oh crap. Secondary fuel bowl vent on driver side spit gas. I was ready for any problems to shut pump down. Will take care of that Thursday.

Last week I installed roof rail trim and weatherstrips.

This week I changed brake fluid, bled brakes, unstuck the rear disc brakes. I am using a disc/drum master cylinder. However, apparently it has the residual valve in it causing the rear brakes to drag. I will be replacing the master cylinder with one made for 4 wheel disc brakes.

It was very easy. I removed it to have it professionally polished. I glued the seals on and used a new set of fasteners to reattach it. Then, just stuffed the new seals in and rolled the windows up. Mind you, they I had already adjusted them prior to removing the trim for polishing.

Pulled fuel bowl that shot gas out the vent. needle was stuck gas dried and left some gunk. Went to test it, left the key on. Battery dead. Ca rumba.

Heater hose fender bracket blasted and RPM'd, new heat stove and hose from it to air cleaner installed. OE breather to air cleaner hose and clamps I got from Mopar John in place and I think I'm ready to wrestle the nose back onto the car.

I put next year's insurance card & registration/sticker in it.
Then vac'd & washed.

BTW: DMV sent 2 (TWO!) registration papers & stickers in the same envelope. They had NEVER done that before & I almost threw the second one away because I thought it was their DUI/organ donor info. Which, for the first time for me, was NOT included.

Cruise night with my cousin and his monster Fairlane ..TO HOT to walk around and get some pictures of anything else.. 92* .. wasted a hundred on a '69 Mustang 428 Cobra Jet drawing .. If I win I would have to sell it because its a ford . Dart getting it's tail stripe this week, and hopefully it's Hemi scoop put on also, if I can get my nephew off his ***.

Now that battery was charged enough to test if freeing up needle on secondary bowl on driver side Holley worked. Yes and no other drips.

Well, bought a new to me 96 Dakota last Saturday and got it registered on Wednesday and making changes to suit me. Other than that, the 66 is in the enclosed trailer and out of sight My 95 Dakota has been on it's last legs for years and the 'new' one is pretty nice. Biggest thing I don't like about it is that the 96 and newer ones have electronically controlled transmissions but it seems to be ok.

The last 2 weeks has finally made made my garage hot! Haven't crank over my 65 Dodge in 6 months. So pulled dist and drive and spun the oil pump for 2/3 minute. Drill was laboring. While I was swearing at dist hold down bolt thought why not a stud. Anybody done this or is it dropping nuts as bad. Would removing a 1/4 of threads so you drop the nut then start it?

That's not a bad idea....but never had any problem with the original hold down but your idea would make it even easier.

This is awesome progress on the Belvedere Convertible today . . .

Both front rotor assemblies are in place . . . Love them ! !

And the collection of empty boxes in the shop has been growing . . . sure help to make one feel GOOD ! ! !

One of those all thumbs on board days. I'd it lined up the bolt and knock it out. I get bolt on the hole and use my 2 index fingers to screw it in, one on each side of upper radiator hose.Its kind busy.

New valve cover gaskets and dash lights now working, it was a good day elbow grease day getting it waxed up for the All Mopars show Saturday in Milford Mi

Got 4 nearly new Micky tires mounted for the 'new to me' Dakota and ready to be balanced plus pulled off the wheels/tires (more Mickys) from the new/old to me Dakota to put on the Creep. They are probably about 50% worn. The Creep (98 TJ Shara Jeep) will be for sale soon and hopefully, I can work on the 66 Belvedere I 2dr sedan soon! For you Jeep guys.......you can have them!! Hey, I know how y'all Jeep people feel but I'm not one of y'all lol. The ride is harsh and with a canvas top, it really sucks. May have liked it 30 years ago but not now. Well, sorry, didn't like them back then either
