Drove the runner next town over. About 9 miles one way. Filled it with premium and picked up Pizza Hut and came home. Nice short trip for a black car no ac in 93 degree sunshine. I’m not really ready for triple digits next few days

Ordering new exhaust for the 92 Dakota today and then an intake plenum kit from Hughes. May as well order timing gears/chain while I'm at it.
Was going to sell the thing but can't afford to pay astronomical prices for a rusted out, 200k mile truck.
I still have 70 k to go to get to that mark.

The 96 I just got shows 130k but my 95 shows 101k. The 95 has been short tripped to death but don't know much about the 96. It's my first Dakota that wasn't bought new by me or a member of my family and that's 4. I've purchased 2 and my dad bought 2. Wish I had kept my 92 V8 truck....

Pulled a down tree away from garage that came too close for comfort to the GTX. After last nights storms '07 Ram 3500 6.7 Cummins to the rescue. It does far more than just tow. He doesn't like anything messing with his Plymouth buds.

Had a ball cypress tree that hurricane Ike took out the very top. It was also a bit too close to the house for comfort so with the help of a 95 Dakota and my future X, we hooked up several straps (plenty to spare) to make sure it didn't fall on the house. The breeze was in our favor but it still freaked out the fX and she nailed the gas when I motioned for her to go. The rear wheels of the Dakota came off the ground a good two feet but the tree fell right where it needed to go lol. She was afraid it was going to land on her....man, never ever wanted her in danger so the margin of error was big....

A 20" wide ash tree was no match. But the stump? That will put up a better fight. Haven't got it cut down to that point. But the fight is coming. That 3500 dually weighing in over 7500 lbs is a brute. Hope logging chain holds.

Ever thought of cleaning off the crud and filling pits and using chrome wrap to cover whole bumper? I've thought of it but so far away from doing it.

Working the bugs out on my 69 Sport Sat. Redid the alternator wiring, finishing that up. Have to reset the timing. Just got a new rim from Summit, came in less than 48 hours. Will get. a new tire mounted for a spare.
Been driving it a little more every day and enjoying ever minute
