What did you do to your Mopar today?

Look on the bright side: (a) You can drive it and (b) it did not burn up in the fires.

Having said that, I hope you are able to get back to pleasure only cruising!
AMEN! I try not to grumble to much but do when worn down. I am definitely BLESSED, thank you sir.

Procar buckets finally installed.

I drove the '04 Neon R/T to the emissions inspection station and easily passed. Guess dad was right. You take care of your car and it'll take care of you.

Last few days, repaired the horn ring, replaced the horn switch and the horn relay. repaired the mount studs for the top of fender turn signal indicator, installed both sides new front side marker lights. Today took wifey to the next town over for lunch, and dropped our 68 Satellite off at the paint shop. He can keep it all Winter if he wants , to touch up a few places, cut and buff the new paint from last Spring.

They look good. How about a review?

Driver Seat installed.

I ordered the seats and brackets early July of this year, I received the brackets within a week.
The seat were backordered about 3 months.

The brackets came with L shaped metal tabs, meant to be bent / cut / welded to fit your application.
Eventually they seemed like more trouble than they're worth, so I eventually used these square tubes:

Cut to 14" long and bolted to the bracket, it worked out well as the perforated holes are spaced out 1" center to center.
The exiting holes from the bench were exactly 11" apart.

The bracket is then bolted to the seat tracks, there are 3 different height settings.

Outboard side is set at the highest (bottom), inboard is set in the middle that gives approx. .625" height difference to account for the floor near the tunnel hump.

It worked out pretty well, I had to cut some of the carpet, Dynamat & foam for better clearance on the 2.5" bolts going through the floor.

A quick drive around 3-4 blocks and I can see my gauges better with better positioning on the accelerator, no more sliding around...

They're pretty comfortable and fit my frame well @ 5'11" 170 lbs. Even with the pull tight lap belt I don't slide around like I did on the bench. Having 4 points of contact (per seat) to the floor over what the bench had they definitely feel more solid. I have yet to drive it through the local canyons in the early morning so I'll get a better feel once I do.

I'm going to order one of these:
https://classicconsoles.com/product/universal-humphugger-jumbo-console/
That should fill the space between the seats well, the consoles I've looked at on Summits site I think may be to small.

I will eventually get a pair of these in too:
https://www.schrothracing.com/item/rallye-4-asm/tuning-Harnesses

All this so I can take more advantage of the steering and suspension upgraded I've done to my car. These seat are pretty ubiquitous in their application, in all kinds of cars & trucks... They're simple enough to look the part in a late 60's muscle car with more bolstering that isn't overly excessive to hinder entry / exit that doesn't break the bank. Seems like the install (brackets) are the biggest issue, but once solved and installed they're great.

I had one of those consoles when I had the bench seat in the El Camino. They're nice. I'd get the taller version for the hump.

Needed to move the Bee from her bay over to the hoist bay, so that I can investigate whether it's fuel pump or it's push rod has failed. Wife and I were going to push it and then I decided to use my "head". Pressure that is !! Hopefully fixed tomorrow, as it's cruising weather for the next 3 days! Running didn't even pop the "cork" I stuck in the fuel line.

Pickled, mothballed, steel wool in exhaust pipes, and covered til spring. I hate winter

Someone had a good idea to make a list of the things you do to winterize and leave it on the driver's seat so you don't forget to undo them next time you drive.

I installed the front seats and new three-point seatbelts, so today I'll finally get to take her out to set the rings on the new engine (since Ohio will be sunny and 70 today).

A glorious Sunday. Fixed Therapy up with a new fuel pump this morning, cleaned some more heater hose weep mess off her engine and stomach. Fuel pump, I could blow BACK through it, was toast. Didn't need the spare push rod as the OE push rod, after 51 hard years, was still FULL factory length of 3.22"! Last pump lasted 42 years, but look where it was made! LOL... Just can't believe how much of a mess a weeping heater hose can make. RIGHT back to the rear bumper attach bulkhead..

Yesterday, I put new front brakes in the '04 Neon R/T. Today, I thought about changing the oil in it, but opted to just wash the Challenger with my helper.

Good job. Lift sure makes it easier to clean all that drool off.

I'm so glad the only "winter prep" I ever have to do is check the coolant so it's good to -10*F or better. Drop-top season ends soon, so there are a couple of more good weekends coming up for that. Thanksgiving Day is generally the start of "top-up-only" weather around here, through February..
