What did you do to your Mopar today?

I painted the laundry room..

Drug this poor car out of the weeds. Unfortunately I think it’s going to scrap, nobody wants it for parts, and I believe that’s it’s only possible option.

Not today but yesterday. Got the carb back from Woodruff. Installed it, topped off fluids and put in a battery. Fired right up and ran good. Been sitting for months. I took it for a short ride to the store. Ran great. The Creep Wagon lives again. Even the hens had to check it out.

Drove the Ole girl to the office Saturday. Talked with the previous owner to me. Scored all this old paperwork and history.

I've been tractoring giant piles of dirt ALL weekend, and what did my wife say? I used the wrong dirt where I put it in one area....and she was a complete BITCH about it! The job is not finished, and that "error" can be fixed. ZERO gratitude, FULL ON BITCH.
I'm really sore from bull riding (closest description to riding that tractor over mounds of dirt and in and out of trenches) had work of my own I could have done and at least got PAID for (and my clients appreciate me) and that doesn't even take in to account TWO LESS DAYS of life left to live that I could have spent doing what I WANTED TO.
Yeah, I'm pissed.
I haven't worked on my Roadrunner in eons, and it's quite drivable, but THAT hasn't happened in an even longer time.

Well, that's on her. She should have been supervising you.

I had to vent...I told my best friend and Mopar brother when I was on my way to day 2 out of 2 weekend days "Well, put another red X on the calendar. 2 more days I've given up of my life to go do what she wants me to do"...
When "my plans" for the weekend were given to me, she didn't even ask if I had anything planned.
****'s getting old, and I need a break.

I have to say....I am jealous of you folks in the warmer climates or that have insulated and heated places to work on your car. Once it gets cold here, the work stops. Nothing but bench racing until it warms back up.

Back in OH, most friends would build an engine in their unheated garage over the winter.

Brrrrr.

Nothing quite like the dreaded "ratchet slip" knuckle buster when it's 10 degrees.

Much nicer here in FL.

Changed oil outside yesterday.

That's funny, that's exactly what I was thinking about when I was reading the first part of your post.
I don't immediately feel it, but I know when I do it's going to hurt REALLY bad.

Yep.

Wish I had a dollar for every time I saw the bunched up, gouged, skin, and waited for the bleeding to start and the pain to set in.

Today I fired mine up in storage just to get my fix.
Couple weeks I will be able to drive it again if snow is nice to us.
I like snow but I like my R/T better.

Well. Today I “somehow” managed to cause some engine damage. Tearing down tomorrow. Initial diagnosis. Broke a timing chain. Crank spinning. Cam shaft isn’t. Not good.

Drove to town and filled up with fuel. I had 1/4 of a tank but what the heck. View attachment 1243499
I did a similar thing yesterday (Sunday 2/20/2022). I picked up my neighbor, Keith (another car guy) and we hit I-19 and went from Green Valley, AZ down to Rio Rico, AZ, then back to Green Valley which is probably a 60 mile round trip. We cruised at 80 mph most of the time. It was 77 and sunny, so the windows were down. The car ran perfectly and we both enjoyed the ride! PS, got several thumbs up as well!!!

I fought thru the yearling Turkeys that were kicked out of their Rafter by the adults. They like my deck. (But damn they a dumb as stumps) I believe they hang out on my deck everyday for hours because they forgot how they got up there? All to get to garage to start car. We have more snow and then even colder weather moving in. Errrr.
