What did you do to your Mopar today?

Tacked my lower quarter patch in on my Coronet, ran out of welding wire in the middle of it so pulled a couple small dents out before calling it a night. Bought more wire but big game tonight (go Jayhawks!) so probably nothing else until Sunday.

got it tuned up for summer new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and washed her off and went for a small cruise. :)

Mikey happy

Took the Belv out for a couple short spins chasing some hardware for another project. Swapped garage space to make room for some work on my Son's car, lowering his WRX w/ new adjustable struts.

I see alot of work goin on in here,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but almost no PICTURES!:confused4:

Picked up my car this morning after having a window net installed, flatbedded it back to my shop to clean it up a tad.It was so nice this afternoon so I took it out for some exercise.:steering:

Started to do my front brakes , found two bad bearings. Been over 20 years since I`ve done drums. This is the 3rd year I`ve owned my 66 .Would like to do disc`s on the front but with one kid in college and the other getting close and I would also have to get new rims and tires because I would need to go up one size to put disc`s in the front.I geuss I`ll just stick with drums for now unless I win the lotto?

Alsant- The 5th Ave (M body) brakes I put on my 66 work fine with 3 different sets of 14" wheels (14X7 Magnum 500, 14x5.5 rallyes, and 14x5 steelies)

Hemi-itis- is that a Hino? Where are they made (Korea?) and what's the powertrain?

YY1 thanks for the info,I was looking at kits,is that a parts swap from a newer M-body .I am kinda new to Mopars , only have had mine 3 yrs and I`m learning as I go.Thanks

Just about got my cooling system done. Hayden jaguar clutch and and hayden fan are in (what a B!TCH). Waiting for my custom crank pulley to arrive and I should be 100%.

^^^^^I know exactly what you mean about the jagclutch fan, just did that a couple weeks ago. On and off 3 times actually :( ......Iwatched the kid take the car out for a ride cause I was busy doing yard work, but he put gas in it and I'll be burning it tomorrow :)

It was an 87.

Spindles, rotors, calipers and brackets all worked.

Also used prop valve, but had to replumb.

Had to use 73 and up hoses.

There are a couple of master cyl options.

I got mine with a running driving car for $450.

Parts prices for what I quoted are about $150-$200 at the local U-pull.

Started it yesterday. First time since I put it up in November. Pulled the coil wire, cranked it till I had oil pressure then put the wire back on. Fired right up!!

Washed the winter/garage dirt off, fired it up and I DROVE IT!!! Damn, what a great feeling! I'm sure you can all relate! The 750 carb and Offy intake work pretty good;strong mid-range,idles fine and has good feel at all throttle positions. It does like WFO(heh-heh);glad I let off when I did on my test road, though. A Genesee County Sheriff was coming the other way,and gave me "the look" as he went by. I think he knew I had just mashed the gas,but I was at legal speed when we passed. Guess my "police radar" in my head still works. Didn't need a ticket for,oh,100(+)-in-a-55.

Dash lights...

Well, it started a few days ago.. Chasing wires to find out why my dash light quit in the '68 GTX! And it is just the dash lights that are out. The gauges work OK.

I have the wiring diagram and have chased it from the batt input from the alternator to the H/L switch to the panel dimmer (which is new) and that's where the voltage stops!
If you go to the fuse block and check both sides of the fuse, it reads 0v... I disconnected the battery and measured the resistance between the dimmer and the fuse and it shows continuity!

Is there some other point between that is not shown on the wiring diagram that could load the line?? Anyway, it's a bother only at night, so I'll put things sorta back together and go for a drive!!

Oh yeah, I removed the heater box and sent it off to Rich, The heater box guy for a rebuild.. My rebuild just didn't cut it!

Now, off to the garage...

Jeff

:disgust: Nuttin, it's stuck on the hoist all weekend waiting for parts which shoulda been here Wednesday. And it's sunny and 70 degrees and will be for the rest of the week. It feels just like if my dog was in the vet or something.

Started it up again....... Might take another spin in an hour or so..

Finally, finally, finished my steering wheel and have it in final primer and ready for paint. I think.... Seems like I find something else every time I think I'm done with it, LOL.

We can see our lawn again. Almost 50 degrees today. As bad as it looks from last year's drought, it's nice to see the snow on its way out. I'm sure we'll get hammered again, but it won't last long anymore.

Spent some time pilishing aluminum.Gunna drive it in the easter car parade!:toothy2:
