What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Started putting liner panels in my garage, still waiting for doors

Went to work!!! Nuff said. Still shorthanded since April, really sucks when on rotating 12hr shifts!!!

I got to be sick in bed with the current strain of the combination flu/stomach virus that is going around for the last 4 days!

Monday morning had a TURP. Transuretheral resection of the prostate. All went well, spent 1 night in hospital. Got home yesterday at noon. No driving for a week, no lifting over 10 lbs. for 2 weeks, guess I'll buy 15 packs of beer instead of 30 packs for a while. Prostate was enlarged to the point it cut off urine flow. NO FUN!

I am tearing into a p.o.s. Winnebago I bought because it has a GV setup in it that I am hoping will be something I can use on my Coronet. Can't get dirty though because I have to get a shot in the back later this afternoon.

Replentished the wood holder I put in when renoing the basement. If you extract carefully you can get a face cord out, refill and then use the other side that's nicely dried out. Going thru it at a feverish pace to avoid burning much oil. Even remembered the important sprays with bug killer and then lysol to nip any mold spores.

cleaned the clutches, new belts, carbides, greased and gassed…waiting for snow, well sorta

Went for a walk in the woods to see if it's time to call in a sawlog/veneer guy to get some of my 100'+ Red Oaks before any more hit the dirt. Lots of dead falls and sick trees to turn into more firewood. Guess tomorrow I'll Stihl be in the woods...

A good 100' to the first limb. Not even a nub on the entire trunk.

Root rot and boom. A perfect 80+ foot Red Oak saw log becomes firewood.

Hope that works out!

You operate a 'stick' crane? That's what I call them....tower crane right? I used to operate a bridge crane....a fairly big one at that and enjoyed it for a few years but it got old pretty fast. At least it had a 7 ton AC unit on it lol. Steel mill stuff....

The starter on my 38+ year old Gravely garden tractor finally gave up the ghost. The bendix is what gave up but the motor itself could use a rebuild too. Oh well, now to figure out what to do next. Will do some research to see if parts are even available. A few years ago I called around to see if anyone would do it and no one wanted to. I can pull rope it but that sucks on a 16 hp BS single cylinder engine..... @toolmanmike

There would be shipping involved, but I had these guys rebuild a starter for my 1974 Case 444 garden tractor a few years ago, they did a good job, and at that time the price wasn't too bad. Just a possibility if you can't find parts to do it yourself.
