Seems like I spend way more time looking for stuff than I do working on the stuff!

Yep....I spent a few hours this week looking for the tri-sided nut for my air-cleaner lid. Put it on my bench on Sunday while cutting a new stud. Went to grab it again and it was gone.
Drove about 45 minutes south and back to buy a new one.

Pro tip - put a nyloc nut on the stud at the bottom and tighten that to the carb/TBI unit..... that way if it rattles loose, the nut stays with the rod and shouldn't fall into a cylinder. I heard about a Mustang guy who fell foul of that.....ending up tearing half his engine down to find a loose nut in one cylinder.

I've never seen a propane tank buried around here Don. They are all above ground.

Speaking of Chinesium & Christmas. Better half hung garland&lights out front. I did the electrical part. This blasted timer has to be 30yrs+ and still going strong. K-Mart.

I replaced mine, plus the wheelbarrow, with solid tires that won't go flat.

Bolted down the lift columns today. Floor was not level so a couple of shims were needed. Ten bolts torqued to 125 ft/lbs would not have been a problem ten years ago. Today, they kicked my *** a little but they are bolted down and plumb all around. Guess I am starting to show my age a little (very little)! NOPE, I blame it on the wrench being so close to the ground that it was hard to get my back muscles to help!

This took a bit more than one day. I needed more room for the vehicles so I removed the roof truss system in part of my garage/shop and installed a LVL ridge beam and rafters to give me clearance for two lifts (yes I had this checked by an engineer). After testing the lifts with wifes car I got all the vehicles put away for the winter.

My youngest out of the blue a few weeks ago got tickets and treated my wife and I to the Flyers/Rangers game yesterday. 50/50 money got up there. The money people spend down there is insane as it was a packed house and our tickets and parking was $785. Other than traffic it was a great game, great seats and a great time.

EDIT: Best part was I caught a shirt that was shot into the crowd so I gave it to my kid.

I agree and the only reason I knew the cost was we got a fraudulent activity e-mail when they were ordered. My youngest doesn’t have a debit card so he just transferred the funds and used our debit card… I was like holy **** when I saw $756 for 3 tickets he even offered to get our oldest boy one but he has ZERO interest in sports…Parking was $25 but at the stadium it was $75!!

There’s got to be over a hundred bucks worth of packing material that goes into boxing one of these things up!
