Ever since I made my truck front end wall art, I've had a problem with the way I just squaring off the corners of the bumper. I did it to match the tailgate on the back one. Well, a few days ago I decided it was time to fix it, nothing fancy, just better. There are a few ways to fix it, start over, block the corners with more wood and and shape it by hand or after my telescope pissed me off, I beat it to death on the way to the trash can and but saved this part. You can see my telescope in the trash!!
I've worked with many different materials in my life when I built advertising displays. This way was just for fun!
A little shaping, sanding, paint and it should at least look better.
I do most of my work now by hand, I gave away most of my shop to a young man for him to carry on. I do have a small carry around table saw, bandsaw and a two-in-one sanding machine with both a 6-by-48 inch belt and a 9 inch disc. I thought I share this information on this hand saw that I use for everything. It's the best saw I've ever owned, super sharp, lightweight and for under 15 bucks, everyone should have one. I did all this with it.

Still recovering.
Now into week three.
Last night- horrible sore throat.
Today- moderate sore throat and a lot of coughing.
This has been a roller coaster of a cold.
Different symptoms every day.

I was told years ago, that the more you got, the more you got. Compared to what I had, I have nothing now!!
More broken stuff, and more snow on top of everything else? It seems like you and luck sure are strangers these days.

Went down to the Stockton, California, VA medical facility to get tested for the hearing aide that i now will be wearing, from now on.
Never been there before.
A nice new facility for us old timer veterans. (And younger vets, too.)
And right off a Interstate 5, exit ramp, too.

My first day as a furniture maker was a strange awakening. I was talking to one of the guys and asked him how long he'd been a cabinet maker. He looked at me and said, do I look like I build kitchens. We were furniture makers, whatever. Just a side note, my real point is how much machinery we didn't have. We had about a dozen routers, each one with a different bit. A sixteen inch radial arm saw, table saw, jointer, and a thickness planner. 50 or 60 bar clamps and 50 or 60 jorgenson clamps. I had an assortment of wooden block planes, a sweet set of hardened steel chisels, and a large assortment of hand tools. He always said, you already have a head start, do you think Daniel Boone had electricity when he made furniture. The guy was as tough as an old boot.Cutting, trimming & fixing wood. Helped the Mrs plant more vegetables.
Stopped by my bank to get some Kennedy half-dollar coins. They didn't have any, but the head teller in charge said I can order them. The minimum order is $1,000.
Took the Mrs grocery shopping and couldn't resist buying this diecast model.
