Removed and disassembled the pressure control valve from the hoe. Spool orifice is loose and can't make it stay in place. Ordered a new spool c/w orifice. What's another grand at this point... jmj.

I need to touch base with my X brother in law....he has a work hanger and used to buy lots of 100LL from him plus got lots of plane rides. The best one was in a 1938 Stearman biwing. Man, that ride was the best ever!!

I've been nervous about my mud work. Do I hate drywall because I suck at it, or do I suck at drywall because I hate it? At any rate, first coat looks good, things are nice and smooth. Had a couple rough spots on the LR ceiling, but filled them with a skim and will sand and prime tomorrow.

Big relief that things look as good as they do.

Last time I messed with drywall, my dog put his football at the bottom of my stepladder, I had a nearly full pan of mud in one hand- you can imagine the carnage that ensued! My tailbone still hurts- kinda like Doug above.

Went and looked at a '70 x 440 engine. Appears it was a little stuck and possibly stored in a pond. I left it there, although the block itself would probably clean up and is still std bore.
