what do you guys think?

theres a guy here in oz with a 67 barracuda with a stroked 360 he runs a racepump on his street car and he said it would not run well until he put the return line and check valve in now he said he can idle all day long and never had a problem with it in the 3 yrs hes had it, the problem was never the pump but my lines and my setup, we bench tested the pump and it shoots about half a litre of fuel 2metres across the shed i was surprised haha.

That's why I preach a good return system. People who bitch about how loud electric pumps are usually have never run a return on one.

The check valve requires a 5 psi lift to take it off seat. These tend to be difficult on a suction side of pump. Check valves work on pressure side.

snake i am just going off how racepumps strictly said to set it up, once i get it going again i think it should run flawlessly.

rusty mate i have never run an electric pump, my reasons for the mechaincial i posted earlier i dont have anything against them just what ive heard from others. but always thatnkyou for your valuable responses they sure do give me a giggle sometimes haha.

On todays pump gas this is even more important. I have always used the old dead headed electric pump and never had a problem until last summer. It was one of the hottest and most humid I remember but this cheap pump with more ethanal in it gave me some fuel boiling problems and a return system will help fight that keeping fuel a little cooler.
