Getting ready to do a conversion on my 68 b-body with a 318, the TTI headers seem to be the header of choice from magnum force, and i'm not sure about the reilly motorsport kit - but they are very expensive. Also, it is the same set you would buy if you had the stock set up, correct?

Without the torsion bar or steering linkage, does anyone know of other decent headers that will work? basically, it would be nice to have headers that left access to the plugs and didn't require creative wiring to keep the plug wires off the primaries. I almost wonder if later model b-body or even newer magnum headers would work now that a lot of crap is out of the way. i would think there might be another header that didn't have tubes curling all over the place.

it will also be nice driving and not worrying about scraping the headers on the ground.

gibson makes a set for the 5.2 magnum that look relatively simple, they aren't the "long tube" but they look like they would fit (obviously with magnum heads).

just seeing what knowledge is out there, other ideas appreciated.

for now, i guess i'll just cut the one primary and try to weld it back on in a way where it doesn't dip so low. they are old headman headers, so not really a loss if i booger them up.

still would like some input on other headers. thanks
