Let me explain my question. I see a 1969 Super Bee for sale. Not interested in it but was just looking at pics. Plain jane car. No scoops or anything on the outside other then a SB stripe on the ***. Bench seal, auto column shift air ccnd. I think a 440. Very plain, smog dual snorkle air cleaner So what is a SB made off? Nothing on this car that looks any different from a Coronet except the rear stripe.

Standard on a Bee was a bulge hood and a rallye dash. Everything else an option. VIN = WM21 or 23. Coupe or hardtop.

A Super Bee was the Dodge version of a Road Runner. That's it. On a 69, tell me the visual difference of a road runner and a satellite.

Take a Coronet 440...

Dechrome it
Add the optional 383-4 or Hemi
Add a bulge hood or an N96 ram air
Add thick torsion bars and a sway bar
Add larger brakes
Add the optional 8 3/4 axle (minimum)
Add frame bracing
Add a Charger rallye dash
Add a tail stripe and emblems
Black out the grill.

What did I miss?

Usually it's a Coronet R/T with a smaller engine.

No buldge hood, which is something I thought it should have.

68/69 BEE came standard with a smaller power bulge hood (N96 was an option 1969 twin scoops Ramcharger hood)

Keep in mind I'm not posting this to talk about the seller. I'm asking because I don't know what all these names you guys use for newer cars, 66 and up. I just thought something called a SB would have some special markings other then the stripe.

Nope.

Except for the hood.

Coronet 500 and R/T shared many parts IE interior and tail lights.

440 and Bee shared parts.

Only way to know for sure if that’s not some clone

Check the Dash VIN #

Bee VIN- WM23H9 WM23M9 WM23J9

That car is a"23" body hard top.

No rallye dash
No bulge hood.
No blacked out grill
