What is everyones battery of choice?

Well count me lucky  I have the Gold label one.

I second buying a battery tender I have one on every car or motor cycle and even lawn tractors I get years and years out of every battery. Even my second or 3rd work vehicle can sit for months at a time through winter keep it on a tender and I never have issues

On my 69 rr I bought an optima red top and it went bad in a few years. It was under the free replacement period so I received a new one. I am now going on my 8th year on this second Optima. I have never had to charge it or put it on a tender. Always starts up without issue although I do try and start my car up periodically through the winter.

I had a yellow Optima in the car for 10 years or so before any problems. I still use it when camping to power my led lights and still lasts 2 or 3 nights. I used to have the R/T backed into the garage with no access to the battery In the trunk sometimes for months when I lived in Corpus. Always started maybe I was just lucky but still impressed with it.

Well, better late than never! I bought an 82 Dodge Ramcharger, well used, in 1989. It had a Delco (sealed) battery in it and it wasn't brand new either. It ran and worked great for over 16 years. Had to be recharged 3 times due to an electrical short once, a worn out voltage regulator and once more because I wore out the brushes in the alternator. Even then, it still cranked the motor over, but it did it too slow at 10 degrees out side to make me comfortable so I changed it out. I kept it though, to crank over a couple of junkers I was trying to keep the motor oil moving in. It sat around for a year or so doing that and one day it was too weak to crank a 4 cylinder, so I put the battery charger on it while it was in the junk car. Had to run out to the store for something and a freak thunder storm rolled over and lightning struck close enough to fry the battery, battery charger and the end of the extension cord. That was RIP for it. I probably should have called Delco to commend them for a great battery. They might have given me a freeby !!!

Lol I switched the diehard out of my 04 Ram back and forth for the first month or so that I drove my 68, until my wife complained about my truck always sitting on 'her' side of the driveway..."why don't you just buy a stinkin battery for that old thing!" she said.. (I said to myself aha, it worked! I can use some house money for it now!) so I picked up an 850 CA interstate for like 95$ from Costco...so far so good it has sat for a week at a time and still fires right up
