Good evening everyone,
Looking for a good mini starter for Debbie's 69 440 Charger. Been on Summit & Jegs. I see they market one under their own brand name-are they good? I'm also going to be ordering one for my 67 GTO (2 bad starters in one month:eek:ld cars-go figure!). Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

slantsixdan will be a good one to ask. I THINK he recommends Nippondenso directly. Not a new aftermarket or reman. He's da man when it comes to that stuff. If he doesn't chime in send him a PM.

I got a nipp frm Dave @ roseville... NO PROBS in 3 yrs

just bought one for the 440 Belvy... had to remove the connector extensions.....( do this on a 440////just take it off and dont play with it for 3 hours like i did in a futile attempt to get it to NOT HIT THE BLOCK ). got it from Summit......here the next day...works great! i think i paid $140.00

got a denso from mancini, works great.as stated already, remove the angle adapter before you try to install it.

i got one from oreilly's. even with no adapter the large stud was too big. I called 440 source. They passed up the opportunity to make $ off my woes. Said all I had to do was trim the stud and enjoy. It worked and it works. Turns the 440 over much faster than the old elephant unit I took out....:hello2:

starter?

Do not know if you have headers or plan to in the future, but TTi on there web has a listing of starters that will fit their application for your car with headers !

Thanks TheSwede, I was looking at them too but wasn't sure if they were any good! Will have to buy one when I get up to it.
