Wheel Wednesday

I agree, whitewall tires were never my thing.
Generally, I do not like whitewalls, especially with aftermarket wheels. But, when I restored my 1964 Dodge Polara 500 Convertible, I wanted to use the special Spinner wheeldiscs that came with the "500" package. I just did not feel that the car would look right with blackwall tires. The whitewalls complement the white convertible top and the white trim in the interior. I think it depends on the car. Whitewalls usually look dumb on a Musclecar. The 1969 SuperBee that I purchased new came with whitewalls and full 14" wheeldiscs. It did not stay that way very long. That's my SuperBee in the 1969 photo.
