Recently I started a Thread requesting help with a gofundme link. My mom is bad on bed and is being hard to me to finance the health problem at this moment! Dunno how long this can take!

Was it deleted?

Why?

This is not a joke, scam or anything like that!

Not sure if this allowed. Below are the
steps required to set up a gofundme
page.
Sounds like emotions are running a
little high. Relax and concentrate on
care for your mom. I sincerely hope
this helps.

no credit for it's content.

God Bless

"To set up a GoFundMe page, follow these steps:

  1. Sign up for a GoFundMe account using an email address you have access to.9
  2. Choose a name that will be displayed publicly on the fundraiser page. You can use a chosen name for privacy reasons, but ensure you use your legal name when setting up transfers.9
  3. Enable JavaScript to run the app.8
  4. Click the 'Start a GoFundMe' button and follow the prompts to add fundraiser details and set your goal.49
  5. Designate a photo or video as a cover for your fundraiser. Fundraisers with a personal photo or video are generally more successful.9
  6. Write a compelling story that includes details about who you are, what you're raising funds for, and how the money will be spent.9
  7. Choose a title for your fundraiser that clearly explains your cause and captures the attention of potential supporters.
  8. Preview your fundraiser page to ensure all information is correct, then click 'Complete fundraiser' to make your campaign live.9
GoFundMe provides tools to help you succeed, including prompts to guide you through the setup process and tips for sharing your fundraiser."

I already have the gofundme created, but I posted the link here on a thread requesting for donations from members (if someone wants or is able) and got deleted the thread.

Sorry if it seems I was searching for help to create the gofundme process, no, is not that

No problem.
I believe it's against FBBO's rules to try
and solicit money from the members.
If they allowed you to post a page, this
site would be inundated with requests
for the same.
Not to mention the lessons
scammers have taught us.
(not accusing you of being one).
Maybe some could chime in and offer
avenues of assistance for your mom.
I'll offer the first.
When my wife was bed-ridden, Social
Security paid for hospice care. They
sent a nurse practioner as needed to
our house.
I think I can speak for all members
here that they have a heart and can
relate to your circumctances.
Wishing well for your mom.

Well, when Cudachick died there was a link to a GoFundMe and a very unsuccessful auction to help her family pay for medical costs and burial expenses. Seems only fair to let others post their links.

My apologies @themechanic
The reason for the post delete was
an assumption on my part.
I'm only trying to help the OP
since no one else offered an
explaination.

Do you have a link or information on the name for a donation? I’ve donated on here before but there was a direct link. I’d be glad to help you out, if you can post how to get to it. Take care and God bless you and your family.

We don't allow members asking directly for donations. If something happens regarding a member or a family member and another member starts a fundraiser, we allow that. That is started by a member for a member. Panhandling for your own benefit is not allowed. Think about how that could get out of control.

I don’t have any idea in which way how can get out of control

if she was in Spain with me that was no a problem, but she is in Venezuela where the SS doesn’t work. My funds won’t be enough if this takes long.

Try these organizations;

International Medical Aid (IMA)

MAP International

International Medical Corps

Stanford Health Care's International Medical Services

IMAF (International Medical Assistance Foundation

Would have been nice to have told him in a PM instead of just deleting his request for help.

Thanks, May be you should become a moderator and see how much fun it is to make decisions on the fly here. No matter what you do or how you do it is not agreeable to all. Apparently my post worked here because others read it, including you, which was my intention. I didn't like the idea of a member directly asking for donations for a family member from our members here. Where does that stop? I need a new cam so I started a Go-fund-me for it as an example. We have had some successful fundraisers he for members in need, started by other members that were friends to the person in need. We need to have some guidelines here so fund raisers don't turn into a free for all. There's a lot of scams now days and we do have to be cautious. I put the brakes on Leanna's fundraiser because it took over a week to get word from the family that it was legit and not just a scam started by someone no one here knew.

Mike, make your job as a moderator easier. If there are rules about fundraising post a link to the sticky thread.

There are no written rules, that's the issue here. You all can send donations to whoever you wish but as a moderator, I will remain cautious about fundraisers that don't look quite right to me.

There are no set rules on this because it's not something that happens very often and the rules are geared to automotive stuff and many times we will get with the site owner about something we don't know what to do with.

Mike, I agree with your statement, "We need to have some guidelines here so fund raisers don't turn into a free for all. There's a lot of scams now days and we do have to be cautious."

So, let's see something in writing.

That's nuff said about that.

Guys! Sorry for the problems this could has been caused.

I simply got a bit desesperated and began to search for help not just here but all boards I‘m member.

That’s the deal being poor and still tied to a “poor” country like Venezuela. Working really hard in Spain and without know how long this can take… if ever solved

Is hard to see your mom barelly weighting maybe 65 lbs lying down on bed and without force to leave it… and having a brother drug/alcohol addict living with her, without the tools to solve the problem… and myself living 6K miles away.

How this blown in my face now? Because my mom allways has been telling me “half of the truth” she is living.
