I went looking for my local tool guy in my town. Where has he gone? My snap- on torque wrench needs to be re-calibrated..So off I went to my local service station... I counted 6 dealerships closed & a few more service stations..I must have ask at 4 or 5 places if a tool guy comes around, with no help.... These guys go to Sears or use Harbor freight or the local parts store...I finally found a Guy out of NJ he shows up at a dealership about 15 miles from me......Wow the toolman are dying out............

Its part and parcel to business as a whole... All the cheap Chinese crap on the market makes the snap-on and other quality stuff unattractive. Yes, you know and I know, in the long run you will spend more money buying cheap crap than you will buying a good product once....

I liken it to our stupid states using blacktop versus concrete. Every year they are out there dumping more blacktop and tons of $$$ on labor. Because they are too cheap to do it right and only have to address it again in 20 years versus every year. But the inablity of the state and federal politicans to keep money set aside in a general fund for that length of time is inconceiveable when they can use it to buy votes.

Its all about right now....not the long term.
