Where were you? Nov 23 1963

I waqs 6 years old and in first grade in a catholic School. All of a sudden loud speaker announced death of President Kennedy. THe Nuns and teachers gathered in hall way crying and it was a terrible scene I will never forget. They took us out side into the City of New Brunswick, NJ and the sirens where blowing. Poeple where crying and it was like the world came to an end. Pleople stopped and got out of their cars and stood at attention. Remember this was when we where a real god fearing Country. Then the teachers brought everyone in 1st to 4th grade to gymnasium to have us watch Walter Cronkite announce on the TV " 14 inch black and white with a magnifiier on the Philco Ford TV. Everyone was quiet and it was as if the world stood still.

I was 10 months old. I'm pretty sure we were living in the Albany, NY area by then. I was born in Erie, PA, but we moved later that year. My sister was born in Albany just 3 weeks after the assassination. So I was born in January, and my sister was born in December that same year. We were each born in 2 different states and under 2 different presidents - but the same year.

I was 5 years old, Brooklyn New York ...watching it on a black & white with my parents.... A very sad day indeed........

I was only 2 1/2 yrs old at the time so I don't remember anything.

I believe we were off from school for Thanksgiving - anyway, I was home and watched it happen. I yelled at my mom to come look at this - the President has just been shot!
Then watched when Oswald was shot - the funeral procession - it was quite an event for a 2nd grader to watch...

I was 2 years old so I really don't remember but my mom has talked about it over the years and has always said it was one of the saddest days ever.

6th grade math class. It is nice to realize I am more with my peers than with the young whippersnappers at Viper Alley where I used to hang out. Much more friendly and helpful group too!

The Kennedy family paid a very high toll for service to their country. One son killed in the military and two in politics shot down. Rose Kennedy was one strong lady to have endured it all. The guy that shot Robert is still in prison and has never given a motive. He still claims that an unknown woman had some form of mind control over him.

Freshman year of H/S just off lunch break! Sitting in history class. Weird coincidence that it was becoming a time in the history of the U,S.A.

Miami 11/18/63

I saw this photo and thought, what a different age we live in now.

I was a 15 yr old sophomore in a small high school in ND. Classes were cancelled for the afternoon. Ya-ya, 15 + 50 = 65.

3rd grade in a 2 room school house in Michigan. I remember exactly where I was standing when I heard the news. ( just like where I was when I heard Elvis died)

I remember thinking in '68 (at age 5) that all Kennedys end up getting assassinated. It seemed like that, anyway. MLK being assassinated added to the feeling that public figures were all targets at the time.

I also think others have had the same feelings about the Kennedys
........Dead Kennedys is an American hardcore punk band formed in San Francisco, California in 1978?...wow people are goofy.
