I have run the Holley Blue pump for years and want to upgrade a little, I'm looking at these two fuel pumps.
Holley Black
Aeromotive 11203 street/strip

Which one?

I use the Holley BLACK PUMP my my 10.158 ET Coronet with no problems whatsoever.
A heck of a lot cheaper than a lot of the pumps and it is bullet proof.
It has been on the car for about 2 years. No street miles. 100% drag race.
It is quite loud but I do not have it mounted in rubber.

I've had an Aeromotive Street/Strip pump feeding the engine in my drag boat for 2+ years no issues. One thing to remember is you want to avoid a voltage drop at all costs. A 15 foot run of 12 gauge wire will drop .5 volts. The result is the pump motor pulls more amperage and runs hot. Almost every failure (if it's not corrosion) is the result of excessive heat. With the upgrade an 8 gauge power feed and a relay would be perfect. You can buy a relay kit.

I use the Mallory 140. Used this type pump for years when they first came out, well over 500 runs. Now have one on the Satellite with return style regulator. Works great.

I run a Holley black pump in my Vette. Rubber mounted and noisy as all hell. I also run a return style regulator. It feeds a set of dual 750 carbs without a problem. Lots of road miles and many runs at the track.

Just a thought here, damn near everyone is making universal fuel cell/gas tank modules for in tank pumps. That’s the route I’m going

I have a couple Aeromotive pumps in my cars, that haven't had a hic-cup in 15 years.

We run 2 Holley Blacks.
Was talked into a Magna Fuel pump by a friend. I bought a lightly used pump from them and mounted it in the trunk.
After two years I hit the pump switch and it pissed fuel all over my trunk. Come to learn that the seal goes it will by pass fuel out a pee hole in the body so it doesn't flood the pump motor.... yea it only would have filled my trunk up with fuel.

So I took it out and put the two old and reliable Holley's back in.

I have the Aeromotive 11203 street/strip pump on my big block Cuda. I also have before and after pump filters, regulator, and return line per Aeromotive recommendations. -8 for all lines.

I have one from sometime about 2007-ish (give or take IIRC)
Street Rod Fuel Pump
Aeromotive #AEI-11203 150gph 14 psi rated (Summit Racing $175)
@ 13.5 volts/draws pretty low amps, for an electric pump
requires a fuel regulator

I use it with a bypass style Holley regulator now
(bypass style helps keeps the pump cooler, doesn't dead head like fixed regulator does)
& fuel PSI gauge, set to 7psi flowing
(use to have a Aeromotive reg., it quit for some reason, had the Holley here so I used it)
all plumed in -6 to the 3 x 2300 Holley 2bbls,
drawing thru an OE style Mancini Racing 3/8" sending unit, (just a streetbeast)
all drawing thru an Aeromotive canister style 40 micron (IIRC) fuel filter
just after the tank & before the fuel pump, mounted lower
up-to the front, with a fuel 10 micron Russell filter before the carbs
& a -4 line off the regulator, back to the fuel tank
thru the 1/4" port in the sending unit

all wired thru an arming switch & thru a 30 amp Bosch relay
like all my electronics have

so far so good, it's not an 'all out racecar', but does very well

for an all out dedicated "real" racecar
I'd have a bit more
but probably still an Aeromotive, just more GPM, larger lines etc.
they have proven to be great products

I also run the Holley black pump on my 63. Works great for me. Been on my car for almost 7 years. Ron

I ran a Holley Black pump for over a year and it supplied plenty of fuel. Out of the box the gasket was pinched and pissed fuel all over when I toggled the switch for the first time, poor qc. It is also noisy as heck, sounds like a palm sander bouncing around in the trunk.

I since switched to a Holley Sniper in tank pump, 255lph, which is much quieter. They make higher flowing units that are direct fit.

I know with me I grew up in the 60's and when I had my hotrods in the 70's I was just used to hearing the electric pump come on when I turned the car on. So I basically grew up wanting to hear that fuel pump come on and sing to me when I turned the car on. And that way I knew it was working. But yes I agree the Holley pumps are noisey. But I have used Holley pumps since the early 70's and they have never let me down. Ron

With 3" head pipes, Dynomax Ultraflows and turn downs, the fuel pump is barely noticeable. lol

I use a Holley 12-150 pump, have for 10+ years and no complaints. A bit noisy but when the engine starts it doesn't matter.

Back in the "day" (1963 thru 1966) almost ALL of the Super Stockers I knew about, including me, used the Stewart Warner Electric Fuel Pump(s). Most of the guys ran 2 of them.
Holley and Aeromotive, etc weren't even in the business of electric fuel pumps back then.

I use a Holly Blue with -8 lines to regulator and -6 X 2 to 1050 QF carb. I mounted relay to power in trunk and feed through circuit breaker direct from battery.

I ran the aeromotive street strip pump for several years upgraded to magnafuel 300 a few years ago. Magnafuel pump develop a leak during eliminations swapped out pump with the aeromotive I kept for spare. Absolutely no difference in ET. FWIW

FYI, I used the old Holley Blue 110 for many years. Actually 2 of them for a few years. Unfortunately the vanes would freeze up & I didn't know it. The Mallory pump was my solution. Blue pumps OK, but needed checking.
