Who Had Creepy Crawlers?

I still have my Schwinn "Apple Crate", with the banana seat, rear "fat slick" , 5 speed, and front drum brake. I'm sure it must be worth something.

Yea, maybe I guess it depends on what you consider is old ??, but old age & treachery, will overcome, youth & exuberance, everything, everytime or everywhere...LOL...

Oh yea! We used to drag lumber and plywood into the alley behind our house and build all kinds of jump ramps. Amazingly, none of us was ever badly injured. I did, however, manage to break the front forks on my 20" Schwinn attempting a ramp to ramp jump. Luckily that was all I broke.
Good times man.

Me too I broke/cracked the frame a few times, bent rims poped tires etc., dad had to reweld & straighten my frame & forks, so many times over the years... never really got hurt bad, had some road rash for sure... awh the good memories

Didn't the custom Schwinn 5 pseeds Lemon Peel, Orange Crate, Apple Crate, etc. had a smaller 16" wheel up front & a 20" wheel with a "cheater slick" as I was reminded by another poster here, out back, metal flake paint & metal flake seat, If I remember correctly...

Yes, jumping the StingRay got me knocked out in the street and my first ambulance ride. I still have my StingRay, too. (I'm not a hoarder, just a bit of a packrat.) Maybe I'll break that out for some pics one of these days. Its still in it's mid-'70s motocross conversion trim. I have one of the earliest sets of motocross handlebars on it - very wide compared to what became the norm later. But I also still have the original banana seat and handlebars, too.

How about Polish Cannons? Who had fun with those? I know I did.:laughing1:

You should go to youtube and search for Pittsburgh Dad Vacation Drive and watch that video. He has every angry Dad driving statement made in that one.

LMAOOOOO....funny ....funnier with the pixxberg accent.....yinzn@

I love that guy's videos. We really liked his one where he's telling his neighbor about going to see The Dark Knight Rises. He says "catwoman's looking for some device that erases all the crimes from your record. She better get in line behind the Baltimore Ravens!" :)

Plea bargain was all it took to save his career.
