Who Likes Aircraft ?

Wright Patt does not fly any of their aircraft. MAPS is restoring theirs to fly. Damn shame the CAF's plane (and crew) was lost.
Yes, i was sick about Caroline. They also had British Guests on board...3 if i remember correctly.
That Bird was re-fit back to Military spec by the Confederate Air Force from having been an executive conversion since the sixties.

someone asked if if he was hurt no pilot was fine this had happened at a air show in front of a huge crowd

Jimmy Doolittle proved that the B-26 was a great airplane.
I watched the training film for landing the B-26 on single engine.......155 indicated(don't know if thats knots or statute) was reccommended airspeed for single engine operation. Man, those are tight parameters since landing speed was 140 mph....narrow window!
Some articles i've read claim top speed was 315 @ gross weight,, ,others i've read claim 380 mph. I tend to believe more towards the latter. Dad told me they gathered speed very quickly & they were hard to slow down. When i was young in San Antonio(1959-60), i had seen a couple of them in air races & they were right in the mix with the single engine fighters.
