Who Likes Aircraft ?

I know, right? I'm in awe of a total take-off weight of 1.4 million pounds.
Im watching subtitled "das boot" right now......an excellent movie.....dead fish at bottom of Strait of Gibralter......almost a 1000 ft depth in a hull only pressure rated for 300 ft max depth....y-yikes. Out of 40,000 kids sent to sea in Wolf Packs, only 10,000 returned.....we are all expendable to the war masters........these Kids/Heroes thought they were fighting the just cause too.....They were Patriots, same as ours Who fight with Their Lives to uphold What They Believe is Right & Just......even if the Beliefs are misplaced. War most certainly is HELL.

Me at that same base mopower871 pre-fighting one of our Flight Test birds...(We fly against the Nellis AFB guys often)
Yup, that is my second home...Nellis AFB, Las Vegas NV.

PS: Usually the Thunderbirds never pose in front of any other aircraft but their own.
Uh, yeah, they always make an exception for the Raptor.

Right on Ski Doo, so not being much of a turbine guy, whats top end on deck & at altitude? KTIAS?

Hay guys the Phantom in the flyby was painted in the exact marking of Brig.Gen.Robin Olds. His Daughter was on hand for the unvailling of the F-4 at Nellis .The pics of the T-Birds with pilot Maj.Paul "MAX" Moga ,who was the first demo pilot for the F-22.where taken minutes after his last flight as a demo pilot at the Aviation Nation Airshow Sunday Nov 9, 2008 at Nellis . He went on to host "Great Planes ,"Air Combat"on the Military channel/Discovery channel . SKI I would give my left nut to sit in a raptor for five minutes. i'am speechless great shot of you. if your sitting in a bird of pray I figure your active military if so thank you for your service.
BLADE the man of many talents .you are most definitely a renaissance man. I love that strat of yours and your art, wish I could afford it. Have you guys herd the song by Dwayne O'Brien titled "REMEMBER" Great song that pays respect to the men and planes that fought for our freedoms we all enjoy today. check it out .going out to Pomona in November for the finals then make my way over to Chino to see the air museum again maybe well run into each other . peace

One of America's early jet fighters, the Northrop F-89 Scorpion was designed in the 1940s after the end of the second world war. Over 1,000 were built.

MO! Thank You Brother!! Im Honored Man. A Very Pleasant Surprise! Very Kind Words. The Scrawl on the Strat is the result of a couple of days of trying to get a feel for a swordbrush....was centari acrylic.....not slow enough to get a decent brush flow....DanaToo's barb strat is just an 87 Korean Squier ll......i loaded it with Seymour Duncan cool, cool, hott Rail pickups. Some wiring and & better pots. only a couple hundred new, But i have a grand wrapped up in a junior Fender. Bought as NOS in 92, She' wore out. No frets left...so overdue for refret,,,going to put a hard tail bridge on too...my trem bridge is blocked....not a wiggle bar.....axe is such a toothpick, i can just push/pull neck, get some wobbles that way.....i love the neck..shallow, slim, flat finger board....very fast, loose. for putting shredd on.
even wore, still my first choice. i have a Greg Bennett design Samick Korean flame maple arch top, mahogany, Lessie like that a beautifully crafted guitar..that ive done p.u. 's on too...far more finessed finishing than contemporary rack stock, 2500.00 Gibson Lessies, ivory binding superbly done. But DanaToo is my Ride.
Great Photos MO...Yours are always crisp sharp, wonderfully staged.
Yeah Super beeski....Great shot of You in the F-22....Sharp looking Bird.....looks a fair bit trimmer than the F-15.........Brothers In Arms

Proud Parent Eh? Nice Shot Ski.....very Business like.....my house is about 5 miles due west of Hemet Ryan...we're on approach & departure for the Sherrifs Bell...so anytime somebody is this way....lo hi speed passes always welcome.
in 70's, i had to do some time, a fire camp........one day, an F-104, sans Tip Tanks, did a LOW Hi speed pass right over us. hit the afterburner right on top of us.....some of those convicts mighta had to change underwear.....it was louD!! He was Ballin' the Jack X two. Made my Day.

Pretty Thing. Graceful. Know the Fouga Magister? V tail. French....beautifully put together...about 1/8" skin, all butt jointed panels, could not slip a post-it in any seam, every rivet absolutely seated flat.

Robin Olds...
A real American hero!
A triple Ace

He was loved by his men in Nam
He always pushed the edge on appearance by wearing the "Long and bushy" moustache.

Interesting to note:
Chuck Yeager and some other pilots took the F-104 variant NF-104A to an incredible altitude of 120.000ft
Wikipedia:
NF-104A
Main article: Lockheed NF-104A
Three demilitarized versions with an additional 6,000 lbf (27 kN) Rocketdyne LR121/AR-2-NA-1 rocket engine, used for astronaut training at altitudes up to 120,800 ft (36,820 m).[79]
