@ TUC International in Sixties there was a a shitwad of surplus AT-6's. Some of those birds were pawned off for as little as a hundred bones.

A quote, "in 1947 the Royal Canadian Air Force put Their P-40's up for sale @ $50.00 per unit."
There were a 1000 P-40F's built which were supercharged Rolls/Packard Merlin powered which were faster & Greatly improved cieling. Then, when Merlin's became in demand for P-51B production, P-40's were relegated to the Allison again & all successive variants from F model on were Allisons.
The P-40's greatest assets were it could outdive anything, was very stout & could sustain a high margin of damage.

Cessna 195 with a Jacobs 300 HP radial first appeared in 1947. I don't know when they stopped making them but I have seen 1952 models. Said to be one of the most sought-after civilian aircraft. Enjoy the sweet music that a radial makes.

1947 was also 1st year of Beech Bonanza, the straight 35 model. Faster, retractable, on less power, less fuel. We had two when I was young,,N3053V & N3052V. 52 Victor I built a lot of time in.

Lumshevak.
Not sure of spelling, French word meaning headache. An airbatic maneuver created & mastered by Art Scholl, throwing aircraft into wild chaotic gyrations looking completely out of control.

Your N3052V seems to have crashed. Couldn't find N3053V after 1965.

Got a picture of yourself in the plane? :)
Here go Photon. Me & 52V in first pic. Second pic You can see the G-1 in background. Third pic is 52V going through an annual, doing gear swing. Before the new Alumagrip paint job. The red bird was my Uncle Sam's straight 35. They were camping out in Baja with Dad & 52V & the rest of Their impromptu flying club.

The pic sitting in 52V I'm about 12. Pic just above I'm 16. We had just landed in DF Mexico City. On the leg from Culiacan, a field wire to the electric prop disconnected so the Old Man had to land in cruise pitch. The field elevation approx 7500 feet, so it made for an extremely hot landing.
I flew the 1st leg of that trip from Tucson to Hermosillo.
