After the end of WWII, Switzerland decided that they would update their airforce fleet with jet powered fighters. Designed and constructed in their country, they came up with a four engined prototype. It didn't go into production, but they did learn a lot about aerodynamics and engineering from it. The EFW N-20 Aiguillon. (Stinger) Designed in the late 1940s, it looks modern. Development was cancelled in 1952.
