Although I've listened to Blue Oyster Cult's 'ME 262' since the 1970s, I never actually paid attention to all of the words - because I wasn't able to make them all out. So, reading the actual lyrics, I noticed that they've included mention of the engines and air to air missiles. In the final days of the war, this jet fighter carried 24 55mm R4M Orkan missiles. These folding fin rockets were also used on the ground against tanks.

I wonder how a 220 volt charging system works out so close to water?
I don't know, but I'm sure someone will figure it out. I don't even know if it's only 220 volts. For example, when cruise ships dock at the port of Vancouver, they shut down all auxilary diesel generators and are hooked up to electricity from the shore, at 6.6kV A.C. to power the ship while docked. The ships pay for the electricity but the average stay saves over 30 tons of diesel fuel. Electricity has been successfully used near water for quite awhile...

Just surmising but fault protector main switches feeding the ship's electric switchgear are probably utilized either on board or at the dock. I wonder what level amperage are they dealing with for a cruise ship at 6000+ vAC?
We built some gear for the docks on the lower west side of Manhattan many moons ago. 4000 amps @ max 480v (maybe 208?, don't remember).
Fed 200a gfci takeoffs at each mooring point. Vessels had to be 75' min. to be allowed a spot. Poor babies. All gear probably replaced by now. Project was called North Cove Marina or something like that.

I have no idea what the current draw for such a floating city might be, but there is probably something in the technical information section of the Port of Vancouver web page: https://www.portvancouver.com/envir...-action-at-the-port-of-vancouver/shore-power/
