The Latécoère 631 was a French passenger flying boat. Built in the 1940s, it proved too expensive to operate and too unreliable. After several crashes, the final flight was in 1955.
B-47 Stratojet, 6 x J-47 jets, same as powered the F-86. Tail number indicates contract year 1952. Could outrun most MiGs. Needed a drag chute in order to have higher engine power in the traffic pattern, otherwise the slow acceleration of the J-47s could cause a stall or crash! Pease and Plattsburg AF bases were built for them in the early 50s. We had a beach house under final approach, and I saw many, chute out, in the pattern.
