Nakajima G8N, Japan's heavy bomber. The war ended before production ramped up.​

It first flew in Oct. 1944, only four were completed.

Here's a captured specimen being evaluated at Wright-Patterson in 1946.

It's amazing the enemy aircraft that went thru Wright Patt. Shame they weren't saved for the future museum.

British Beaufighters cripple an enemy convoy off the south coast of Norway. Flying through cloud down to sea level, the Beaufighters from Coastal Command completely surprised the German convoy. In this photo, three armed trawlers and a motor vessel are on fire after a cannon attack by the Beaufighters, which attacked from mast height

Initially sold in 1947, the Beechcraft Bonanza was famous for its V tail. Over time, both this and conventional T tails were produced although the final V tail came off the line in 1982. Still being made, the Bonanza has the longest production run of any airplane.
