British Admiralty Flag
On 23 Nov. 1945, at Southampton, England, Sir Albert Victor Alexander, First Lord of the Admiralty, and Admiral of the Fleet Sir Andrew B. Cunningham, First Sea Lord, visited USS Enterprise and the British Admiralty Flag was hoisted in the ship. This was the first time since its creation in the 16th Century that such a pennant had flown from a foreign warship. The flag was presented to the ship as a memento.

Task Force 16 Citation
Enterprise, Hornet, 16 other ships and their 10,000 sailors, airmen and Marines, who took part in the Doolittle raid in April 1942, were officially recognized for their daring exploit 53 years later, on 15 May 1995. In a ceremony at the Pentagon they were presented the Task Force 16 Citation by the Secretary of the Navy, Mr. John H. Dalton.

Also from that article: In April 2010, the Navy announced that the cost of refurbishing the carrier had risen to $655 million and was scheduled to be completed the same month.

then....

Enterprise was deactivated on 1 December 2012 at Norfolk Naval Station, Virginia. The deactivation of Enterprise resulted in a one-time increase of approximately $857.3 million in depot maintenance costs for the U.S. Navy's operation and maintenance budget for Fiscal Year 2013.

It seems a shame that it was decommissioned so soon after refurbishing.

Going by the miniskirt colours and red lines on the fuselage and ground scraping engines, I'm going to guess Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) late 1960's, Boeing 737.
Good call on PSA & a/c type. In 60's i think all PSA flew were 737 & DC-9. 707, 990 & DC-8 engine nacelles hung pretty low too though.

P-51 trivia of note....Piper aircraft was the last mfg'r to produce the Mustang,, as a civilian bird, it was a two holer, dubbed Excalibur, built into the sixties.
The XP-82 was also designated F-82. As P-51 also got an F designation.

Great photo of Western Airlines approaching a landing at McCarran over the Las Vegas Strip circa early to mid 1970's.
