Yes, goes without saying, just like the bubble canopy gave better visiblity but a P/F-51B razorback is more elegant than a later P/F-51D bubble. Just better visual balance. And maybe cuz my Old Man flew one hell of a lot of B-17F's (& G's)off a production line @ Douglas Burbank during WWll. 1300 hours in 17's alone in less than two years.but open to attack from the front , that's why they added the chin turret
