I see red ones for sale, but who wants a red one? Thanks in advance.

Hey Richard are you asking about the rag joint the connects the steering gear to the steering column ? If so they have a little kit that has a black one and the bolts in the "Help" products in most auto parts stores down here. If that is what you need I could get one and sent it to you. A photo of the part you need will be a great help.

you can find the red one's on e-bay, or lots of restoration places sell them. next time i do one though i'm going to try this 2111 - Redesigned Seal Boot Cover

I got one from Steer & Gear several years ago. 800-253-4327 call to see if they still have them.

Red is the only color I have ever seen them. Besides that black boot cover, I don't think there's another color but red.

when i rebuilt mine i pulled a black one off but could not find a black new one, bought a red one maybe superceded i dont know.

Google "The Mopar Shop" they have them by themself or with Kit. A lot cheaper than most.

All of my cars have a black one except for one red one that is actually on an early 80's model fifth

I tried Steer & gear, but they only have the red ones. Although I only need the seal, it looks like I'll have to get the kit on fleabay.

I got one from firestone collectables on ebay, also knows as mopar9999.com, it was black. Megaparts sells the complete rebuild kit if you need the sliders and new pins and the gasket cover, but the gasket in the kit is red.
