I think it would depend on eras. The early Duke would take Eastwood easy, but the 1960s-era and later Duke, no way. By then he had quit punching and was using shotguns and an attack dog by then.

No clue, but interesting to know. Seems he always had one in his mouth in all those spaghetti westerns. Heck, can't say I blame the guy....stinky, smelly things..smoke burning your eyes.

Saw an interview with him years ago and was surprised that he said that lol. He's not a smoker to this day either. I used to smoke a good cigar from time to time but nowadays, just about any kind of smoke sets off my allergies big time. Seems like that started happening after the 40-50 acres behind me went up in smoke and I was trying to protect my property by keeping things wet. I even used a half mask but it still let in some smoke. Allergies were bad to start with and now they are worse. Next time it lights off, I'm leaving....

Good to know you were able to spare your property. Large acreage fires are no joke. Gotta have a big set of kahuna's to fight that battle. Tried smoking a few stoggies back in the day. Out in the ice shanty, nothing better to do, or trying to look like a tough guy at the bar with the buddies. Never could take to the taste, smell and smoke. Turned me green..lol Then again, they were always the cheap gas station backwoods cigars.

I'm a big fan of the "Duke", I named a dog after the guy !!, I have a pitcher of him on my wall !!, I have his commemorative model "The Duke" 94 Winchester 32-40cal Rifle !!, but sense it's fictitious, conjecture... I'll take John Wayne, in a 15 round split decision, down to the wire, The Tall Man 1 point advantage... Don't get me wrong I really like Clint, but the Duke was the chit long before Clint, hell both are/were conservative minded true patriots, unlike the commie idiots in Hollyweird today, so both are great in my book... stock photo's not actual
