I bought this car 10 years ago, immediately dismantled and media blasted (car was painted twice over original paint and had to remove very old and hard original undercoating) and replaced the rear qtr's due to damage, car was solid from Oklahoma, did all this the first year then it sat. Started again on it 1.5 years ago, finally happy with how straight it was I painted it this past fall. Suspension, glass, weatherstripping are in. Ordered all interior soft goods and convertible top from Lengendary Auto Interiors before Christmas, that's when they run their sale, plus I live a half hour away from them. Should have in a couple weeks, so I will be working on that the next couple months. 383 is tore down, will take to the machine shop around March, hoping to have it done by July 2014 in time for the Syracuse Nationals.
P.S. I put it back to the original color..F5..and added the GTX black on the bottom with a .25" F5 pinstripe that is just below where the Satellite trim will go. The car came with a Bronze/Saddle interior which I am changing to black and white with a black convertible top which is the original color. This is also a numbers matching car with power brakes/steering, A/C and cruise control, 83,000 original miles.
