Workin on the Dart "The thread"

You have no idea! Lol. I haven't sold much of anything in the 27 years I've been collecting! I'm out of room now!

that's 5/8" tall or from the ring gear face. not the width of the lug.

Wow! Thats is bad azzzz! 10.3 @ 3600lb!!! Did you have your old set up dynoed? Just curious what you were putting down...

3800# with my *** in there. I never did get to dyno it. Should be around 700 at the crank +/- a small %. I need another 80hp or so if I don't take much weight out. By the way, it's full stock interior including the radio. That may go...

Air cleaners work... These cylinder walls have 10 years of street/strip on them. I would have no issues doing a touch hone, new rings, and tossing it back together.

I have to believe losing weight out of it would be easy. Even I put the factory glass back and regulators in my B-body it could be 3190 w/o me. All steel except the hood.

I defiantly need to start looking at the weight thing a little more. It's something I kind of ingnored up to this point. I just want to maintain the stock look (like your car) while doing it.

watching that video gave me some get up and go. good ole days. think I`ll start retuning my f.i. today .

Broke it down the rest of the way today.

Pistons & rod bearing look really good, rings are shot. Timing chain is junk.

Then I got to the main bearings. Lower middle are completely wasted, uppers not nearly as bad. Crank is still ok. that's why it pays to tear em down while their still running good. They were ok when I last had the pan off. That was probably around 2010. I knew it was time!!

Except for my little mishap .

When i tore down my wedge same story. Rods looked like new #2, #4 mains were beat. I went up to .004" on the mains last year. We'll see.

So what's the plan? You've lost a bit of weight off the nose. Def stepped up in the head department. Cubic inches are there. Sheet metal cross ram? Big single?

Not sure yet, still gathering parts. A buddy of mine has a few sheet metal cross rams that are obsolete for super stock. Said I could try one out. It's still gonna be a street car so I gotta be careful not to go overboard although it's pretty easy.

Hmmm period correct individual runner tunnel ram and dominators gets my vote lol
