I didn't go crazy with the porting on mine but after having them tested they were on par with the Stealths. After larger valves were added I opened the seats up, blended the bowls really well, gasket matched leaving the exhaust slightly under and cleaned up the casting.... still plenty of hours.

Yeah, it's time consuming to be sure....Be worth doing to get better airflow..free HP.

Stopped by the local auto parts store today and picked up a gallon of GUNK carb cleaner, some CP Blaster, silicone spray, digital calipers, gasket scraper, feeler gauges, and a set of wipers. Yesterday I went in the fabric store and got a couple of yards of leather look brown vinyl to cover the roadster panels behind the seats. The air powered Delta grinder came and the porting kit from Eastwood.

Bought the final hunk of steel for the rear covers today. Need to get it trimmed up and in place so I can finish the edges and down slopes at the door panels. THEN I can clean it all up, spray glue all over the place and cover it. I have just been busy raising money to get the block done at the machine shop. Still have a 440 and two trans to ship out..lol. I have been collecting parts all winter and i'm on the cusp of a thrash to get the project rolling again. If the sales go okay I will be buying paint so I can spray the engine compartment and both sides of the inner fenders, basically everything forwards of the cowl. Need to begin assembling **** and I want the paint done first. I have a bunch of front end parts to spray with chassis black, the brake calipers with Viper red, the block Hemi orange, etc... start laying out the wiring and fuel/brake lines to hide everything. Lots to do...I will be painting the fenders and hood section separately. Aint hot roddin' fun?

Cleaning day. Working on the dual valve springs, titanium retainers, push rods, manifold and head bolts, flex plate and bolts, and carb disassembling. Spinning the inner springs out and cleaning them and then the outers and reassembling. Boxing up everything that's cleaned for later. Repaired my pressure washer this morning so I can clean some stuff up after spraying degreaser on it. Who has the best brake line kits for the 67 Coronet? Fuel line kit, 3/8ths? Thinking about the pull apart of that transmission on the bench.

More cleaning...lol. The carb is almost ready for reassembly, one more session in the soup and it will be clean enough. I dropped a piston/rod in the slop for 10 minutes and it came out about 50% better. Will dunk it for reals tomorrow.

So, found out after cleaning the crap off of the Holley carb that it has a replacement base plate. Nice one, $260 bucks. The kit I have doesn't have a gasket for it. Sigh...the carb is a 3310-3..

Ordered rear wheel brake cylinders for it today. Going out in a bit and finish cleaning the crud off of the final two pistons and rods. Then start on the rocker assemblies. Hopefully Holley will get back to me and get me the right gaskets. I cleaned all the oil/grease off the block but it still looks like hell so I guess I will take it up to the machine shop to get tanked. I kinda want it to look brand new before I paint it and begin reassembly. no sense putting sparkling clean, and or, new parts in a F'ed up looking block.

Still cleaning parts today..lol. Working on rocker arm assembly's. Cleaned up pretty nice, although, i'm sorta worried they may be worn too much. Are they supposed to be that loose on the arm? The valve seals have an "A" surrounded by an oval and there's a small "c" next to the A. The valves themselves clean up okay, not shiny nut good. I bought a Billet rear crank seal from Angelucci Performance to replace the one I got pissed off art and smashed it loose with a hammer and chisel.... temper, temper...

Electrolysis is going good after 16-18 hrs...block, water pump, and a old proportioning valve..

Will mix up another batch and drop the heads in for a couple of days. It didn't take paint off but it softened it up. I used a couple different sizes of wire wheels on a high speed air tool to clean the rest of the paint off. looks okay.
