Hey- bought a wiring harness using the code WEBDAY
Saved 27% off my order
They just mailed me another code HELP4U

I dont know which is better but just trying to pass on the savings to anyone here buying parts

Year one 30% off everything starting midnight friday through this weekend only code : MAD11

Maybe this will make up for their crazy shipping charges. I called them and complained about this on my last order. The girl I talked to said she has been receiving alot of calls reguarding this. I ordered 2 of Galens' white books, maybe 3x5x.25 and was charged $15.75 to send them from GA to WI in a small flat envelope.

Ditto!!!

They wanted almost $200 bucks to ship a pair or rear partial rails to WI, and to a business at that. Outrageous!!!! When I put in a manual request for that weight/size at UPS from there to here, shipping was $47 bucks. I go with Megaparts out of Southwest WI now.

Thanks for the D/codes either way. Maybe i'll entertain myself and put together a shopping cart on Year One online, see what the shipping would pan out at.

Unless you own a 65 or earlier......You can just watch everyone else have fun. LOL.

I just need a few odds and ends here and ive been lucky with the shipping to Canada-Shiping Everything up here is expensive, doesnt matter which company- but every little discount helps

Cool thanks I've been wanting to order some things but like you guys are saying the shipping is crazy. 12bucks to ship a $20 cd player radio plate...

They need to do something. A lot of ppl are going to Classic Industries, I'm sure they aren't happy about that......

I used WEBDAY recently for a sensor

or Use Code CATCH1 To Save Up To 25%

S&H Charges

I placed a big order with them for over $1000 and I used their web code to save a bunch, but they nailed me with $130 S&H charges. As per their site I wrote an e-mail explaning how unhappy I was with these high charges, but never received a response. The President of the company put his name on the web site and said to e-mail him witht he good and he bad, so he is next on the list....let's see what happens!

So what do you guys think??

I readily used Year One back in the day where they just had the single mopar catalog and back then the shipping charges were not so outrageous..So what happened??? These charges are no way justified. Like I previously posted, I manually checked for myself...

Is it a matter of . . . . .

-Using to cover up a shortfall of retail profits?
-Trying to keep retail prices competitve by pushing the offset onto S & H?
-Riding and betting on reputation and continued long term customers in a comfort zone?
-All together poor balance of overhead and bottom line?
-Disconnected from market reality with ego or complacency?
-Combination of a couple or all of these?

Either way their current business strategy is eventually going to be or already is a failing one. I've enjoyed using them in the past and would hate to see one of the original pinnacle restoration vendors go belly up over poor business managment or greed.

What do you guys think? Fingers in the cookie jar? Bad business model or????

try google.....

These charges are no way justified.

Everything Year One offers can be found elseware with just a little effort and less money

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I just drive down the road and pick up my parts near Atlanta. :) Or swing over to AMD in Buford, GA. Pretty mcuh no shipping needed.

Maybe i should go into the resale business, yeah buy parts from AMD and Year one, pick them up and then ship them by Greyhound bus for the lowest cost. Brilliant!! (Gusiness commercial)

Meh, too much work.

Randy

Just saying, Lirstening to you guys complain about shipping costs is a bit funny cause it happens with every damn thing we order.

Ordered my new gas tank through the USA made in Quebec Canada because its 250 bucks cheaper.... I tried to go through some Frenchman over in quebec' factory and that didnt go well...lol( think he took offense to the "back door" innuendo ) LOL....

year one is a joke!!!

I work for fedex freight. When I called year one to order the rear quarter pannels and tail light pannel they wanted 2100.00 for everything including shipping. So I told them i will have a fedex truck come by and pick them up and I will pay fedex for the shipping.(I only pay 25% on shipping stuff whitch would be 22.00 per quarter and 12.00 for tail pannel) They said they can not ship them like that. So I will never buy from them again!!!!

Admittedly i'm not local, but Year One tried to slug us $300 to ship a trunk mat........screw that!

Not quite true, they are the only dealer for M&H wiring harnesses.

Anyone know the current Yearone code?

I got an email on Sunday about it and deleted it before realizing I needed to order a harness.
