This is an old thread brought back to life.... My step father Bob was a die hard car guy, mostly Ford trucks & mainly Pontiac's, but had many cool Mopars before I knew anything about cars too, the 1st car I really remember other than his 35 Ford Pick-Up Hot-Rod, or 64 GTO, was a 59 Fury, just like the one in the add below... When I was 8 or so my parents went to a S.F. Plymouth Dealership & bought my Mom a 68 Sport Satellite 383 4bbl 4 spd...LOL...., Dark Green w/white vinyl top & bucket seat interior, he didn't like her driving "his" 64 GTO 389 4spd..LOL... the brand new 68 Sport Sat. I would get the car much latter on, in my early 20's... My 1st real car was a 68 Charger R/T, 440 Magnum, 727auto, 3.55:1-8-3/4" rear, Dark Green w/black vinyl top, bucket seat black interior w/console, purchased from a local neighborhood, young divorced single Mom, for $350, she thought it needed a transmission, also she couldn't afford the gas in 1974, it only needed tranny fluid & band adjustments, tune up & some TLC, I was only 15 y/o when I bought the car, only had my learners permit, I had that car with probably 10 different engine/trans combos in it, from the original 440 street car, to a built little 318ci "big block killer", to a blown 513ci race car, before I finally sold it, to my older cousin Joe in "1985-86, I think it was", sorry guys no digital photos, I wish I still had that damn car... I've owned many different muscle cars & brands over the years, I'm on #13 68-71 RR's now, a dozen 68-70 Chargers, a few Satellites, Barracudas, Demons, Darts, sometime 3-5 cars at a time, but I loved that 1st 68 Charger R/T the best of any car I've ever owned....
