your first car/truck?

In 1970 my first car was a 1964 Impala SS drop top,327 4spd,I was a junior in high school and asked this very hot little sophmore if she wanted to go for a ride, after about the fifth time she finally said o.k,geez I was getting discouraged, but any way,I beat the snot out of that car for a couple years and it almost took it all,so needless to say I don't have the car anymore....but I still have the girl

My first car was a GTX with the 440 magnum. It was a 68 model. I believe it was called a B5 blue, double white stripes, black interior, console, black vinyl top, hurst 4-speed, am radio.
Nothing else, no A/C, no power brakes or steering. Only AM radio, rally wheels and heater. Ordered thru local dealer, took 6 weeks to get. Now here is the interesting part, I was 15 years old! Living in Texas I had just gotten my license. After my down payment my Dad signed a 3 year loan at the only bank in town and I payed $54.09 a month. I had a paper route and did odd jobs on the weekends. That car was very light and I got pretty proficient with the 4-speed. I took that car all the way thru college and sold it when I got out when it had 77,000 miles on it.

I wanted a Hemi but the salesperson and my dad talked me out of it. The Hemi had to wait until a year after I got rid of the GTX. Memories, memories!

68 Dart post car with \6 and three on the tree, had a 4BBL on it when I got it but I put the original set up back on it to save gas?.Found a gts hood at a local junk yard for $75.00,put that on and had it painted bought it in 81 for $400.00 sold it in 93 for $400.00. dart 003.jpgdart 002.jpg

72 PLYMOUTH SATELLITE slant 6 winchester grey bright blue interior 14x6 road wheels with gull wing spoiler black 1/2 canopy top. drove it all through high school in the mid 90's

1966 Chevy Impala 2 door HT, 283 automatic.. wine colored outside with a light brown interior, Funny i just came across the middle horn piece with a impala on it lol, my wife/girlfriend then wanted it when i junked it for lack of metal and a abundance of body putty. :)

Hmmm not quite the same spec as some of you guys on here. I had a 1979 Austin mini clubman 1275 GT. Compared to what I have now you could probably fit it in the trunk. Still I loved that little car and got my first 3 points for speeding in it. Sorry officer.

My 1st car was at the gas station across the road from the jr High I attended.Every day when I went to school, had to pass it as it was parked right on the corner of the lot that was a corner on a main intersection. It was a '65 turquoisy Belvedere with shiney SS Cragers with N50's in the rear with air shocks and VW tires uo front.440,4 speed and a bench seat.
I bought that car when I was 14 and in 9th grade:sad4: There is a partial picture of me and the car in the year book:blob1:

That's a really sharp car 69 runner

In 1987 I bought a 72 Javelin SST- 304 auto, light blue with black interior and black vinyl T tops. I had a lot of good times beating on that car. It was the first of a long string of Javelins/AMXs; I had a dozen or so over the years.

In 1979 my parents handed me down a dark green, rusty (upstate ny) 71 ford station wagon. I painted silver spray paint around all the rust spots, put L-60's on the back, coil spring separaters from jc whitney in the back and drove it hard for 1 year to finish it off. The next summer I bought the 69 Coronet R/T for 550 dollars. I still own it and has been on the road about 29 of those 33 years.

My very first... a 64 ford van... not fast... kinda ugly... but a helluva lot of fun

First car? It was back in 1976, I bought a 1969 Ford Torino from a car lot. Red paint, red interior and black vinyl roof. Compared to my parents' Ramblers, it was a luxury car. What I really wanted was an Olds 442, but was too impatient to save up the extra money at the time.

A year later, I got my 1970 road runner, and still have it.

Yes, Unfortunately it was a situatiion while still in college. Had no place to store
the car. Didn't need the money. Too nice to let it sit out.
Sold it for $300 the guy acted like I was holding him up. lol

1983 AMC Eagle SX/4 with hail damage, a rotted out floor which we patched with aluminum and roofing tar. Friends called it the roller skate. I loved that thing, would go anywhere with 4x4 and the 258 6cyl had good torque...0-60 was measured in years though. Pic is from the web...no idea where my pics of that car are.
