    Exhaust emissions

Even at 2500 RPM, no load conditions are greatly affected by the idle circuit in the carburetor. You could lean it out some easily with the idle mixture screws. Secondly, if you haven't done it already, an electronic ignition conversion with a more powerful coil can better burn the fuel you're...

    What the.....who the.....WHAT????

When I swapped my '95 Grand Cherokee AT to MT, I had my front drive shaft shortened and a new rear made up. That was $500. I may have had it done at the same place you shopped, as I was in NJ at the time.

    Gobeckli Tepe update..

Ghostrider, if you give consideration to the works of Zecharia Sitchen, your statement makes a lot of sense; even offers a "why" go through all that trouble to build such an elaborate complex. Key words: Marduke, interplanetary interactions, massive and immediate polar shifts, "Noah's" Flood.

    Any Jeep folks here?

I'm getting 60 PSI at idle with my 4.6 stroker and Melling stock oil pump. (60-ish miles on the engine so far.)

    Any Jeep folks here?

I have the 12-hole Ford units marketed for 4.0 upgrades. From memory, they flow about 2 lbs/hr more than stock. Compression is 10.5:1. I loaded it with 91 octane before the swap -- just for safety's sake -- and haven't driven it much beyond the break-in.

And the stroker is installed. Holy clydesdales does this thing ever pull... up to about 3800 RPM. It's like the stock 4.0 with about 5-6 Psi of boost.

    Any Jeep folks here?

I bought the crank (new), pistons, rings, & bearings from Scat. I reused the 4.0 rods. There are a few stroker combos that have worked; some using 4.0 rods, some 4.2 rods, different pistons, some with new crank, some with resurfaced 4.2 used stuff. Check out Jeep Strokers - Homepage

I've seen where classy cars with totally rusted undercarriage were sat on 4X4 truck chassis. Gives you a full frame and fresh suspension with minimal work and money. Mike from NY had a '72 he put on a Ramcharger chassis. Met him at Carlisle probably 25 years ago.
