    That driveshaft yoke looks like it could go in a little further. Maybe an inch longer driveshaft. Also those springs look kinda flat.

    The flare occurs because the front band is releasing before the 3rd clutch applies. This can be caused by the band adjustment being to loose, OR it's worn out along with the 3rd clutches. You can try tightening the front band up. Loosen the locking nut, tighten band until you bottom out, back...

    There's definitely a front clutch problem....it's not releasing, the clutches might be welded from excessive slippage. At any rate it's an internal problem and the unit will have to be removed and dismantled for inspection.

    Who makes a good tubular upper control arm?

    I bought some nice pieces off of a guy that fabs them on e bay. Under 3 bills and really nice. Check out mopargorrillagarage. He also fabs heim end strut rods that are very sweet. Like 150 bucks for the pair.
