Still doing great with my overdrive. I just returned to this thread after a while, and saw the recommended oil has been updated.
What viscosity and amount of Redline MT90 is he-recommending?
1970 Dodge Charger, B5 Blue w/Bright Blue interior, bucket seats and console. Original quarters, fenders, hood, only trunk floor and rear window panel replaced. No bondo on this car, it was repainted in the early nineties and been garage kept ever since. Paint is gorgeous, body is straight. All...
Car is in signature, about 600rwhp. I am currently running Nitto NT05r drag radials, 275width on 15” Basset wheels. 8” wide out back. Stock wheel wells, no tubs.

Yeah I just drove mine home from work (Richmond to Virginia Beach, ~100 miles) and used 6 gallons of gas. You do the math! Not bad for a 580" motor and 4.10s!
For traction, I run Nitto NT05-R drag radials on the street. They bite even in first gear.
Take a hammer to them and get the clearance you need. On an episode of engine masters Freiburger and Dulcich absolutely mauled a set of long tubes and the horsepower was utterly unaffected until they'd basically dented in every tube halfway shut....and even then the engine barely cared.
