...back in the day. a .80 reducer (the common ratio) will allow the use of a 17 tooth pinion with a 3.55 rear gear. i bought mine from Imperial Services some years back but i don't think they sell to the public anymore. i picked this out of the Goodguys gazette: Rowland Speedometer...

New member first project 65 satellite

...levers on the VB assembly on the 78 trans were wrong and the factory cable is specific to 63-65 trans so a bit of a pain. I found Imperial Services makes a new cable/bracket/lever to keep the original console. Nice piece overall but what a nightmare people to deal with. Over two months of...

What INTAKE/MOTOR & TRANS combos are you guys using?

...are dirt cheap! I bought mine for under $400 for the motor and $50 for the transmission core. They bolt in (later 727's use the Imperial Services mount) This opens up the fairly large aftermarket for 440's that includes every kind of street and strip head you can think of, stroker cranks...

727 Big Block Trans in a 65 Plymouth

I've got a '67 727 in my '64 Polara and retained my original shifter and console. I used the Imperial Services http://imperialservices.net/ conversion kit. You will need to purchase the cable conversion kit as well as the conversion mount. It works well.

    Imperial services cable issues. Grrrr

The cable you need is a stock '66-'67 item: old style threaded speedometer end, new style threaded transmission end. Imperial Services has a lousy reputation for doing exactly what you describe, which is a damn shame because they make and offer some really good products. :-(

Amazing similarities--especially with the 15" slotted wheels and vented dog dish hubcaps; you've got a beautiful car there--but I'm just a little biased!!!

    Pushbutton Modification

OK so after months of attempted calls and emails to Imperial Services I've given up on having them update my pushbutton console. Unless somebody here knows the secret handshake/subject line/ringtone to use in order to contact them that is! That said does anybody here know how they, or anybody...

    Converting to Newer 727??

I'm using Imperial Services cable kit in my 65 Satellite (console shift, original shifter) with a 727 out of a 71 Charger; it works beautifully. Also using Imperial Services polyurethane trans mount. No other changes required (cross member, etc.) other than driveshaft.

    Imperial Services

Ok so still no luck contacting Imperial Services... Is there anybody else that will convert my '64 Pushbuttons to work with a '66 and up 727? For those of you that have had this service completed or done it yourself: Can you tell me what was done so I can accomplish this on my own?

    63 B series engine swap....

Imperial Services makes a conversion kit for you to use a calbe shifter with a later trans. Do a google search for them and you'll find there website.

Okay here's a few questions for you. Modernizing the 65 belvy.

...you will need the conversion trans mount to fit it to the 62-65 trans mount bracket. This is available from both Bouchillon and Imperial Services, I believe and its urethane. Since the 65 came with an RB engine (426 wedge) and a 727, any stock driveshaft from a B or RB ( 361, 383, 426)...

Thanks for the lead Altered! As an update I called A&A Trans and found out they source this part from Imperial Services!! LOL On a the plus side it sounds like he might have the secret handshake or phone number to get a hold of them. More to follow as things pan out.
