Thanks for the heads up and great points on canopy, sun protection as well as food situations. Years ago we lived at car shows so we have all the goodies. I am seeing if the local club has any interest, but this is a 22+ hour trip one way so the time, fuel and hotels adds up quickly!
Thank y'all very much as this information helps a lot with with understanding which days are best as well as trailer parking issues! I just rebuilt the engine and no working AC which is the reason for the trailer. 69bfan it is the year for 71's so I have to bring it! But no worries about me...
I am thinking about bringing a 71 Charger, but I have never been and I have a few questions. I would be coming out of Texas (real close to Greg Ducato) and bringing a trailer. For the show field, do you just park the car on Weds and leave it until the end of the show, or can you get it out...
Here are a few photos of how mine is setup. It is a original option on this car. It starts on the drivers side wire loom and then I have a red line following the line in the photos. At the motor it has a red, blue and then a black wire. Not sure where the black wire grounds.
I am thinking mine is original to the car as it is a original Gold interior car and this color is not easy to find. But it is defiantly not a ash try opening. All the examples I find online cannot be complete as I would not think a new car would show the interior of the console. That and it...
I am looking to see if anyone has a rear photo of a 71 console without the ash tray. I was going to use my other console to make a mold for my broken console but I noticed it is not the same. My good console has a ash tray but the broken one do not have the same opening. I think it must be a...
Love your car!....The spring that hold the level in park on my 63 broke about 7 years ago but I have not had any issues with it. (more issues with the buttons fully engaging neutral all the way every time.) When I park the car I put in neutral and then use the parking break lever - then put on...
I have a 71 SE that originally had the luggage rack and the prior owner did not do a real good job on covering where the rack holes where. The paint is even poping on one of the old holes at the moment... I do not think the Challenger rack is the same as its front legs kick out to the side where...
I was looking at my 71 Charger project car and noticed that the glove box door has Tobias Speed Equipment painted on it. On doing some searches it looks like Tobias is more related to dirt track racing. Does anyone have a idea how he would be related to Dodge? Not sure if I should save this or...
Get on Classics Industries email list and wait for the free shipping or 20% off sales. I buy in bulk when they offer that type of discount on shipping. They just ended a sale on the 15th so new one should be coming around. This last one had a spend this much before the discount but sometimes...
I finally got back to this and found the single flasher for the signals between the ash tray and glove box. Changed it out with a newer electronic version and all is better than ever! Thanks y'all for the advice!
Your garage looks as packed as mine! Having a sunroof car is on my list of cars to have. I think I read they made around 50 in 71. Do you know how many sunroof cars were made in 72?
Thanks - At one time I said I would never have another black car and then I saw this one and had to have it. But it a monster to keep clean. When I take it to shows one good wind gust with pollen covers the car.
