Sounds like it was never anodized. So polishing it may be an option. Used a good aluminum polish.

Those are hard top - no 'notches' for the B-pillar. Look for the part numbers stamped into the bottom flanges. Dodge and Plymouth are not interchangeable. Edit - sorry ... I see, now, you already said hard top.
