Thanks guys, sorry to ask such a dumb question.
I have only worked on 2 mopar motors before, both had aftermarket heads or intake so I have never seen these holes before
Thanks guys, I thought it might have been a exhaust crossover system, but thought it looked weird.
So they just stay like that? Open? I thought it maybe came factory with a intake similar to this?
I wile ago I bought a 383 intake for an old engine I had sitting around. My intention was to just put it together so everything was there for if I ever needed to use it.
When I got the intake and sat it on the engine it all looked good and lined up but it did not close off the port holes on...
I know everyone means well but I think there is some idea that I have NO clue how to go about having a car restored and that I think it is going to be easy, fast and cost a couple of thousand to do. I know what the deal is and i'm not going to walk into any old car garage bend over and take it...
Ok Bruzilla,
Im 30 years old
Because i'm 30 i'm bullet proof
I enjoy working on cars and have rebuilt a couple of corvettes and if you look up "440 ****" here on bbodys you will see the motor I have built for it (Bruzilla you commented on it). As far as body work I have not done much, this...
Hi
Looking at getting the body work started on my 70 charger. It will need a new roof skin (and maybe into the top of the quarters) and also a new trunk, a couple of other little bits and eventually panel and Paint.
At the moment I would like to get some prices and and idea where to...
Thank you Meep-Meep and Dennis H. It sounds like its not a bad price then.
My 440 has turned out to be a bit of a monster so I think it is needed
Just out of interest what is a standard 833 4-speed worth (to sell the one I already have)
I have been offered a 4 speed out of a Hemi for $1200. I have been told that it was rebuilt years ago and is ready to go (might need a light going over).
I don't know a lot about them but from what I gather it is a 18 spline and its all brass bushed and bad *** strong.
My car has a 4 speed...
I get to sit in this 450hp boy, top speed of 150kts (172mph) and there's no speeding tickets :icon_fU:
what I can save up is going to go into the mopar!
I shouldn't give advice but - I think it doesn't matter how great your job is, if you do it long enough or to much, it will become a job.
Hi, yes they are ARP 12 point bolts (Chrome Moly Black Oxide), Im not sure of the spec etc. I bought the ARP Bolt Kit and it came in that.
I'm sorry I didn't pay much attention to them when I put them in and just did them up finger tight.
Im also away from where the motor is so I can't go have...
no offense taken, thanks for your advice. It was heavily covered but after turning the engine over a few times to sort the rocker/ push rod adjustments out the lifters have wiped a lot off.
custom lift plate
Had some time wile waiting for hughes engines to make up the push rods for the engine so i made a lift plate that will work on the six pack manifold.
Also got the all the soldiers lined up!
The valve train came up good. A lot of time spent on adjusting it up and getting it spot on (not like doing a chevy 350). The hold down kit is made very good and looks strong. I did use all of the large spacers (which hughes said was normal) I used a couple of the 20 and 40 thou shims here and...
